I read a food blogger who occasionally posts recipes using canned potatoes, and many of her readers give her grief about that.

Walking home last night, I passed a hot fudge sundae, a lemon cheesecake, and a slice of apple pie.

At Starbucks, I was behind a customer who ordered a venti, half-caf, ristretto shot, sugar-free vanilla, upside-down caramel macchiato, extra hot, no foam, light whip, with soy on the bottom and oat milk on the top, double-cupped, sleeve between the cups, three ice cubes only, with caramel drizzle crosshatch, but not touching the lid.

BK, whilst you were carrying the two heavy boxes, I hope you sang "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother."

Careful what you wish for.

I hear there's some folk here for whom parodying "But Alive" is like mother's milk. I won't name names, though.

I wonder if a parody show called APPLESAUCE could work, unless APPLAUSE is not as well-known as it should be.

I'm surprised (not really) that they haven't started calling it ALL ABOUT EVE -  THE MUSICAL yet.

Canned goods generally on hand:

Peas ( we don't like them frozen,  other veg are OK frozen or fresh)
Tuna ( light tuna in spring water)
Baked Beans
Black beans and kidney beans for chili making
Chopped tomatoes with jalapeños and onions likewise for chili  making
Tomato sauce and tomato paste likewise in case of chili need
Tomato soup
If theres a sale on I might buy a few cans of chunky beef soup for Vixdad, he likes 'em occasionally for lunch
