Skip watched anther episode of STRANGER THINGS, and he's close to the end of season 3 now. 

We then watched an episode of LINCOLN LAWYER; we're still feeling no impulse to binge-watch it this year, though we're enjoying it a great deal.  It may be a mix of no compulsion to get to the end of the plot in the ten episodes, and at the same time wanting to draw out watching it this time.

Also, I enjoy HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU the news comedy show on CNN Sat. 9 pm, which was starting in a half hour when we finished LINCOLN LAWYER.

This pie is also known as funeral pie, because you can make it quickly with ingredients you are likely to have on hand: raisins, water, brown sugar, vinegar, butter, salt and cinnamon, plus your dough ingredients.

I've saved this recipe to try because I *think* it's much like the raisin pie I remember from House of Pies in 1970s L.A.

Mine is a bit different, a two-crust pie, no custard. This looks delicious.
