I took an Uber to the AMC and saw two movies:  "Send Help" and "A Private Life" and enjoyed both.

Done about six pages so far. Heading towards the end of an important chapter - maybe another two or three pages to get there, and then I'll be inches away from page 200.

Then I'd thought of a good sentence, so went back to writing, finished the important chapter and passed page 200. Twelve pages today and maybe one or two more. And then, it's the last forty pages or so.

DR George, thanks for posting the picture of the b&w Wait Until Dark.

I don't see a photo.  Where is it?

It was the last post of yesterday's posts before BK locked the day.

I saw that very blue photo, plus it looks nothing like what I think Wait Until Dark should look like.

George, you really should watch the movie.

I just placed a hold on it at the library.

George, why were you able to post a photo?

I hyperlinked it directly from Harlequin's website.  I didn't upload it to the HHW photo server.

In scanning the programs for my college musicals, I discovered that I was in my first show there with my third cousin! He was a senior, playing a villager in Fiddler on the Roof, while I was a freshman in the pit playing second trumpet. We didn't know we were distantly related back then.

Very cool!

In my last show with that group, The Threepenny Opera, we got a rave review from the college paper. A year later, Opera Company of Boston performed it. The same reviewer panned that production and said ours was much better! Given the simultaneous pan from The Boston Globe, I suspect he was right.

That's great, Michael!

Has anyone heard Jimmie Herrod’s new Sondheim album, Pretty Is What Changes? First impressions were not good.

I've never heard of him, but here's his take on "Kiss Me" from Sweeney Todd:

And here's "Any Moment" from Into the Woods.  This is a live video performance from November 2024:

Doctor was fine. He's going to take me off Mestinon - first down to one a day, then off, then we'll monitor, but getting off that will probably take care of the cramping crap.

Wait, they didn’t even use grey makeup on the Wait Until Dark actors’ skin? Error.

Nope...just costumes and set

It took forever to get home because of road construction. Truly nightmarish. They closed four lanes down to one going north. The entire southbound interstate was closed.
