From the notes: "Today’s topic of discussion: Have we all just about had it with this here site or should we continue having them fix it once and for all?"

It's a surprising question, in that I don't see any indication that anyone who's a regular on the site now has had it with the HHW site.  It's a community based in this HHW site being here, and if the HHW site were to go, the HHW community would go.   People go away for a while and come back, and drop by when their schedules allow; that couldn't happen at all if the HHW site were gone.

But then, a lot has been discussed about the avatars - I'm genuinely confused about why the avatars appearing and disappearing has anything to do with anyone feeling like part if the community here and certainly not the site continuing.  The New York Times comments area basically has no avatars at all, and that's going on.  Facebook has the profile photos, but they're so tiny that no one seems to see them as a dealbreaker.
