TOD - Graeter’s Toffee Chocolate Chip.

One day I might get to try it.

DR Ginny, I expect the treatments are the easiest part of this.  Vibes the side effects are not difficult.

Tuesday morning greetings!

And here it is. The post-Labor Day morning that has always represented the change of seasons and the start of so many things...regardless of my age, where I'm living, and what I'm doing.

For me it’s the start of my radiation therapy.  As Green Day says, “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”

Sending you hugs and vibes, Ginny.

Years ago Haagen-Dazs had a delicious Coffee Heath Bar ice cream. It was a special run and they never brought it back.  They have these instead.

I've had these and the are good.

Just for fun this afternoon, I'm watching the ASMAC Zoom discussion on Finale and Dorico.

I'll probably end up taking advantage of the "crossgrade" - the catchword of the day - to acquire Dorico.

Edit:  I originally typed AMPAS.  Oy!

Me too! They even had me talk for a bit.

TOD: Chocolate is far and away first, but fresh fruit flavors in season are also great. Plus combining them in chocolate / cherry combinations.

My favorite ice cream place is Toscanini's in Cambridge, MA - great flavors and fabulous texture. For store-bought ice cream, Jeni's and Fiorello's are awesome.

I agree.  When I do buy them I get the snack size.

First banking went very quickly - in and out in two minutes. Walked over to BofA - they don't open until ten - say WHAT? All other branches open at nine. So, I went to Art's Deli across the street to kill forty-five minutes.

After that sorry experience, I got in and out of BofA in six minutes, so all that's done.

Went to Best Buy to look at TVs. On every TV there they'd have to price match, because they're ALL cheaper on Amazon.

I had some tuna pasta salad to try and rid myself of the Art's taste.

Those who follow me (and who doesn't - I'm kidding) know that I hate leaving one-star reviews and I'll try to never do that unless it's truly warranted. Art's has been around forever. It's never been a favorite but they do certain things well and that's what I order. Good matzoh ball soup. Tri-Salad is a favorite. Patty Melt isn't bad. I don't mind the matzoh brie and a bacon and cheese omelet.

However, as others have pointed out, Art's is now THE most expensive deli anywhere in LA and environs. The prices are actually breathtaking, and not is a good way. At some point, folks, it becomes ridiculous. My tri-salad is now $33.00 - yes, you heard that right. Nothing, and I mean nothing on this menu is worth that kind of money. But enough about that.

This morning, having some time to kill until the BofA across the street opened, I went in and ordered a toasted sesame bagel and cream cheese, a side of bacon, and a Diet Coke. Let's get the price for those three items out of the way first - with tax and tip? $25. Absolutely outrageous. They now charge $5.50 for a soda. Appalling. But let's get to the food, shall we? I don't know what was up with the toasted sesame bagel, but it must have been sitting on top of a garlic bagel because that's all I could taste - and frankly, the cream cheese tasted off to me. And then there was the bacon. I'm here to tell you that these four pieces of whatever they actually were had not seen a griddle in days. They, in fact, look like that fully cooked bacon you buy in the market - the kind of thing Subway does - fully cooked and they just warm it up. This was so disgusting I cannot even begin to tell you. I am currently totally sick to my stomach. And baby, when that happens it's an automatic one-star review.

And the last time I ordered my tri-salad via Door Dash, despite the included note in ALL CAPS saying two scoops of turkey salad, one scoop egg salad - NO TUNA - they gave me the tuna and it so permeated everything that the entire thing went into the trash and I got a full refund from DoorDash. And no one there seems to care. Art's, get it together. In case it hasn't been blatantly obvious, people have stopped coming. Ask yourselves why and then perhaps do something about your ridiculous prices and get some real bacon and keep the sesame bagels away from the garlic bagels and keep the cream cheese fresh. Otherwise, just give it up. Front desk people, try looking like you're happy when someone comes into the restaurant, rather than just ignoring them.

Sorry for the length, but I am so close to vomiting on the ground and that makes me VERY VERY VERY unhappy. The End.
