So, about the A Grand Night for Singing VHS tape that I recorded from TV...there were a couple of the actual PBS released VHS tapes on eBay and I added both to my Watchlist.  Well, one of the sellers made an offer to me for their unopened copy for 30% off!  It'll be on its way to my VCR very soonly!

Last night I read in Caleb Carr's My Beloved Monster the chapter on the cats he had as a boy. By the time I finished reading the tragedy of beautiful black cat Ching-ling, her third batch of kittens, and her horrible death in a botched surgery at four years of age, I was blubbering like a baby and wailing like a wild thing.

The book is beautifully written, very interesting, both as biographies of Carr and Masha as well as a treatise on cats.

After my usual housekeeping chores, I have no plans. Please keep the work vibes coming. I cannot survive on my Social Security and pension. Last year. I had the ballet aentary income. This year, there's been very little work. I have to get Stella to the vet.

It’s ready from the library. I need to finish up a few books first, including Bury Your Gays, a mystery about a gay TV writer who has been ordered to kill off gay characters in his TV show.
