George, good to hear your final Saturday night performance went so well.
DR Elmore posts for me. The two nights at Triad in NYC were my only time ever to meet and be around Richard, but that was a precious week. This morning Kristi and Nathan and I have been looking through the snapshots I grabbed those two evenings.EDIT: And Marni Nixon! I hadn't even known she was there until we saw her and DR Elmore on the street afterward. This fall, it will have been ten years since that week. Little did we know.
I don't have one of me or Nathan, but Kristi treasures these memories, especially when he held her hand as she attempted to tell him what his music has meant in her life:
And he was so happy to be photographed with little Hadley:
Here is one of Richard Sherman’s last songs, for a short animated film from last year. He still had it. It’s lovely. https://youtu.be/KEhncKYpRAg?si=C6OQlYaC4JNxsDMB

Thanks DR FREDDIE.Wonderful photos DR CHAS SMITH!Great photos and stories in the notes.I love this moment from the ALS Benefit with Mr. Richard Sherman and Ms. Hayley Mills......Mr. Sherman goes up a bit in the lyrics and Ms Hayley pretends she needs the lyric sheet, too, so goes into his pocket to get it....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA4rKzeCUM4
From DR George:QuoteYes, Jane, the garage door WAS opened (and fairly easily) and we had a great garage sale all around!Excellent. I had hoped that was why you didn't report in sooner.

George, I would like to have seen Avery Brooks as Paul Robeson. Even more, I would like to have seen Paul Robeson as my mother always said he was her favorite singer.
From George:QuoteAfter the garage sale, I went to the final Saturday night performance of The King in Yellow, and we probably our best audience! They laughed at everything (that was appropriate to laugh at ), and were quite taken with the show when it went dark. A very enjoyable performance.Congratulations!

I can't remember the last time I felt so ill.My head feels like it's being squeezed in a vice and the coughing and sneezing is relentless.
The medley is finished! And just in time, too, since Stella and Thatch are clamoring for their dinners.
What a mess. I missed a kleenix in a pocket before doing a load of laundry and it totally shredded over everything. It took half an hour to get it off of the clothes and I still don't have all of it out of the washing machine.
One of my prized possessions.

Cat wall art in Lisbon.
Where'd George get to?
