Well, you've read the notes, the notes were foreign, and now it is time for you to post until the foreign cows come home.

I also love foreign language cast recordings, and I'm pretty sure that I have that Mexican My Fair Lady..  If I'm not mistaken, that also has a very young Plácido Domingo in the ensemble!

Among the MANY foreign language cast recordings, I have the original Barcelona cast recordings of A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, AND Into the Woods...all in Catalan! ;D

My guess is Hair would be in the running for most foreign language recordings. Have a vague memory of reading something like that.

I have the French, German (with Donna Summer!) and the Japanese cast recordings of Hair!

I don’t know if I could watch Adrienne. I was very much into the early films of Hal Hartley, and remember too well what was such a senseless tragedy.

I have to look up the others I have - I do know I have an Israeli and German Hello, Dolly, a German Stop the World - I Want to Get Off, an Australian Pippin, and Eyetalian Promises, Promises, and several Fiddler recordings.

I'm listening to a homegrown version of Pepe that someone grabbed in stereo from the TCM showing, I'm sure. But it has a lot of stuff not on the soundtrack.

I wish Sony would restore the original length of Pepe and release it to streaming and Blu-ray.

So few people have actually seen it and while the plot is stupid, there are many enjoyable things in it - where else can you see the original Riff, Michael Callan, basically doing another version of a rumble, choreographed by Eugene Loring, or hear Bobby Darin sing the song that precedes it, or hear Shirley Jones sing the title song and give a lovely performance, plus all those guest stars.

Pepe originally ran 195 minutes in roadshow. After that engagement it was severely cut down by forty minutes. It's on that Archive site - lousy color but in stereo - my friend, now deceased had the full 195-minute version in stereo. Where that ended up, who knows? https://archive.org/details/pepe-1960/Pepe+(1960)+Part+1.avi

It's in two parts - you can click on part two right under the video itself.

I wonder if there was ever a Mexican cast recording of Mexican Hayride.

The Northern Cardinal was added to the sound mix this morning outside my window. But still not the elusive one I heard a few days ago.

Interesting that in the credits listing on the archive site, Michael Callan is not listed as one of the cameos in Pepe.

I slept in until 6:30, at which time I decided that was enough. I did sleep well, but I remember no dreams.

I was the DR who asked about HOLD ME, THRILL ME, KISS ME. It was such a strange comedy, but I really liked it.

More ballet today. First on my agenda, schedule Access-a-Ride for tomorrow. I have a date with my urologist.

I believe I actually got the decent sleep I needed, and even the cat was agreeable to not forcing me awake early.
