“We don’t gotta talk, I just want to hear your voice.”

Terrible country lyric playing in the background.

Another reason I remember BURN THIS is that a cast member and I had a contest to see who could come up with the best word combination for VSOP - Very Special Old Pale.

I won - but I cannot repeat the words on a family site.

In high school, my list would have included Sweeney Todd. In college, Merrily would be near the top. In upstate New York, Assassins was it. When I worked on my master’s, it was all about Company.

So, there have been Sondheim shows for different phases. I’m sure it will change again.

I feel mostly ok. Just a little chilly. But li’l girl Rodzinski’s tummy is hurting so she and mommy went to the hospital to get checked out. Feel bad I couldn’t go along.

Well, to paraphrase Joanne, "Off to the gym-NOT, then to a fitting."

For tonight's rehearsal, I only have to get measured for costumes, then I can leave...so I shall. :)

A fun game I like to play:

Is that a typo, or is that new lingo that all the cool young kids are using?

Tomorrow is our monthly seniors luncheon at the Johnston First Baptist Church.  That is the first church I ever attended when we moved here in 1949.  I attended Vacation Bible Schools there.  We moved in 1957.

When my parents returned here in 1992, my mother rejoined the church.  Every time I returned home for a visit, I would go to church with her and my Aunt Doris.  I met a lot of people over the years, many of whom are now deceased, but quite a few still alive and kicking.

So...tomorrow is supposed to be a salad potluck. Bring a favorite salad that can be shared.  We generally have 20-30 folks show up for seniors events.

A few years back, we had this theme and I brought in a lettuce and tomato salad with asparagus, covered with dollops of mayonnaise.  It's a really delicious salad, but the lady who hosts the event isn't a fan of asparagus.

So...I paid a visit to Sam's Club today and bought two packages of chicken salad made from rotisserie chicken.  And I bought a package of mini-croissants.  I think I'm covered.

Marshall and I found a few fun outtakes that we'll put on TikTok and Instagram at some point. We didn't have many because I move so fast. But the few we found are really cute.

Went to the Coral Cafe after. I had my chicken salad sandwich - and I did as I always do even though no restaurant EVER puts mayo on the bread of chicken salad or egg salad sandwiches since those are made with mayo, but I always say no mayo on the bread. She wrote it down. And it arrived with globs of mayo on the bread. I told her I couldn't even look at it, so they replaced to the top piece of bread for me, but it made me not really like the sandwich. Wish I'd ordered the patty melt, franly.
