Thanks, BK. I had forgotten the subject of the box you were writing about. I do remember that now.

Started looking at a new book called Let’s Do It: The Birth of Pop Music, a History by one Bob Stanley. I don’t think I’ll read it all the way through. Of Cole Porter, he writes that Porter “wasn’t a romantic.” He then goes on to mention “True Love” and “In the Still of the Night.” If those aren’t romantic, what are they? Fish?

Sunday evening greetings!  We’ve had a quiet day, but about 5:30 I was working at my desk and Richard was watching TV when we heard a loud crash and breaking glass.  By yelling we each determined that the other was OK, but we met in the living room to find the outer pane of our double-paned picture window shattered.

We went outside and looked for a rock or a ball or a dead bird and found nothing.  We can only assume that it was a bird that was able to fly off.

Wow!  I can't imagine a bird surviving a crash hard enough to shatter the window.

It's a good thing that the insurance companies aren't reading HHW. Otherwise, none of us would ever be allowed to buy home insurance.

Thanks, DR John G!  I’m glad neither of us was sitting in front of the window.  It’s one of my favorite reading spots.

We couldn’t, either, DR Jane, but it’s the least scary explanation.

Watched the broadcast of the Minnesota Orchestra with its new Music Director Designate, Thomas Sondergard (Danish).

The program included Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.

There was no rioting.

I can't think of another one.  Maybe the window people can give you a good explanation.

Went to Gelson's and got a chicken Caesar salad, came home and ate it all up - I'm quite full now and who wouldn't be?
