I have a new Blu Ray of John Eliot Gardiner's latest video/audio recording of Bach's St. John Passion that was highly reviewed. Looking forward to it.

I didn't even get to the intrusive questions before they rejected me.

Wasn’t there something like Vitameatavegemin to help with iron-poor blood?

Wednesday afternoon greetings!  After 2 days of fun with friends, I have a not-so-fun dental appointment today to have a crown removed, cavity addressed, and prep done for a replacement crown.  All in all, I'd rather be having lunch with friends.

Groan.  Vibes it goes well and you recover quickly.

Thanks, DR Jane.  I survived, but it was not fun and I’m a little wiped out.  Also numb.

I have to worry about jaw problems and lingering tooth pain after the work is done, always extra stressful for me.

My iron was low.

Did they check that or do you already know your iron is low?

For some reason, Patsy Cline has been singing "Crazy" in my mind's ear all afternoon.

Just got a two-day restriction on Facebook for the following comment in one of the supreme court leak threads, where someone was saying men shouldn't be making these decisions - I responded with: Most men, I find, are jerks. Not all, but the ones who are are easy to spot.

That's it. I of course appealed but you can't even write why they're stupidly wrong. They call that hate speech and yet I see racist, homophobic crap every five minutes - that's okay. I mean, I'm ready to disable my account, frankly. I think the world would be a much nice place without Facebook.

Often for me it’s pain where the Novocain was injected.

Wow, considering all the similar comments out there.  At least it is only two days.

I still have pain where the injection went into a nerve.  Fortunately after 30 years it is greatly reduced.

Finished Attica. Devastating. I knew a little of the ending, but not the full extent to which Republican racism led to innocent deaths. Plus, the degradation of hostages and inmates alike. Highly recommended, but definitely not for everyone.

Starting a far more light-hearted German flick called I’m Your Man. A single researcher agrees to take in a robot designed to be her ideal mate. It’s like a distaff version of Her without the pity. Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey is the robot.  It’s fun and slightly weird so far.

Back from choir rehearsal. They are doing a "cabaret" after church on an upcoming Sunday (with adults and all the kids as well) with an "OZ" theme: songs from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked. Should I start looking for a green suit?

Where they burn books, they will ultimately burn people as well.

Great quote from the 1930s cited in the Barbara Pym bio I’m reading.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Our run-through went quite well and everyone (including me) is excited for tomorrow's final dress and Friday's opening!

Had two tuna sandwiches for food around one o'clock. Tummy is not happy - don't know why - unless it's just the damn stress.
