I am home from a lovely 2.5 hour luncheon at Nice Matin at 79th Street:

I hadn't seen my friends Richard and Sherri since they came to my Sondheim lecture in 2017. There was much gossip, reputations made and destroyed, and lots of l;aughs. The lunch was delicious. I had the burger, Richard had gnocchi and bacon, and Sghari had the Norwegian salmon. I justr fed three cats and I need a nap.

What frosting did you decide to use?  Would a cream cheese frosting work?

I’m just going to use the buttercream out of the tub. No milk or cream added.

Sorry to hear about Pomohac - a lovely person, he was one of the R&H folks I dealt with a lot and one who was responsible for taking on The Brain from Planet X.

I just finished trimming back the olive tree. I hadn’t done it since last year’s storm. And I wanted to strip a few cups of the green leaves because they make a delicious tea when dried.

Man, it’s hot out there.

He loved The Brain from Planet X! He and I even traveled to New Jersey to see a community theatre production.  I always had a good time with him.

It’s only 86, but it feels hotter if you’re working in it.

I am sure it does, especially if you aren't in the shade.

Jane, the two recommended eye drops are both OTC:

Refresh Relieva (his favorite, no preservatives)
Refresh Optive Gel Drops

I ordered both from Amazon.

Do you know anyone who has had the plugs inserted? (Plugs to help dry eyes.)

John G, has your mother read Rosamunde Pilcher's COMING HOME? I do love that book. I also like her WINTER SOLSTICE.

Thanks.  I have Refresh Digital PF & Refresh Tears, no preservatives, as those are the ones I found to buy.  The Digital drops have an extra ingredient polysorbate.  I have no idea if this is a benefit to me or not since I prefer the plain Refresh Tears.

Please let me know if you notice a difference between the two drops you ordered, and if you have a preference.   Once I use up my Digital PF drops I will try the one you prefer.
