I’m running hot and cold. Too much sci-fi for my tastes, and there isn’t a lot of sci-fi in it.

My issues is it feels too much like short stories that leave you hanging.  It seems like they might be wrapped up later in the book.  I'm just not sure I want to wait that long.

The secularism. It would be like having Santa after the Christmas Eve service.

We have a “Eggstravaganza” the Saturday before Easter (today) where they usually do a big breakfast, then games and crafts , pictures with the Easter Bunny (!!!), followed by an egg hunt on the church lawn

They didn’t start this until about 10 years ago so I’ve never attended as the Vixter was already an adult .

Apparently there is a point where the Pastor tells the story of Easter and they hand out coloring sheets with the Easter story and there’s some craft project celebrating the resurrection, but I understand your point completely, Laura.

We also have a big family celebration one Saturday in Advent where Santa appears.

Apparently he tells the story of the nativity to the little ‘uns
