DR Jeanne, I don't think you should stop posting. If a DR seems contentious to you, do what I do and block them.

I must be brain dead.  I still didn’t find the argument.

He wanted to try a restaurant in Chehalis (about a half hour south of where I live) called McFilers.

At first, we were thinking about going to a park there and walking around a bit first before going to eat, but the place we get to require a state park permit, and I don't have one.

DR Jeanne, about proofreading: I finished Julian Fellowes' novel Belgravia last night, and I wonder if he proofread it, someone else did, or didn't care. There are several incomplete sentences - which he does a lot - that left me wondering WTF is he saying, and on one page, the character of Jane Croft is referred to as Ellen Croft. On the other hand, the novel did answer several questions I had after watching the miniseries.

I just don’t think that authors, or publishers, give a damn about proofreading.  I read a book a few months ago, written by a well-known author.  In one entire chapter, he used a different name for one of the main characters.  It was, as if, they took a chapter from an earlier draft and stuck it into the published edition without even reading it.

Medium rare, melted Muenster, sautéed onion, mushroom and roasted red pepper, guacamole on a brioche bun

It would have been tasty if you had bothered to cook it.  Sushi burgers are of no interest to me.

Who knows why or how people's buttons get pushed. I just pushed my button but my batteries ran out so nothing happened.

Never a full scene

As opposed to Chaplin’s half empty scenes?

After walking around the cars, we went into the museum.  It was really cool to see all the memorabilia going all the way back to the revolutionary war.
