I asked where they were taking her so the minister could visit her. They did tell me that. But we don't even know her last name, so it would be hard for him to find her with HIPAA laws in place.
Micki Grant, who worked on Eubie! and wrote You're Arms Too Short to Box with God, has died.
Tomorrow is my covid test.
Quote from: Laura on August 22, 2021, 05:32:24 PMA new person who has been attending church had some kind of medical emergency today. She fell asleep during the sermon (I know, I know). I moved over next to her and I'd rouse her and she'd fall back to sleep. She would jerk awake when I said her name, then fall back to sleep. I got her a glucose tablet I had kept in the sound booth years ago. I kept waiting for it to take effect. I'd rouse her, and she'd wake up and smile and tell me she was ok and was feeling better. Her smile didn't droop and she could raise both of her hands, so I don't think it was a stroke. I finally walked her out to the church library and sat her on a sofa and called 911.We really don't know her. She did tell me she was diabetic. We only know her first name and that she lives in the group home on the corner. The paramedics were there within minutes, and they called for an ambulance and took her to the hospital. I probably should have called 911 earlier, but really I only waited about five to ten minutes for the glucose tablet to kick in. The minister was still preaching when the paramedics arrived. So it felt like a long time, but I don't think it really was.I mean, if we called the paramedics every time someone fell asleep during a sermon ...Oh my. I hope she is ok.

ChasSmith, my personal fave right now is the Grape Raspberry. But I really do like almost all of them - lemonade, lemon lime are also very refreshing.
