In two hours I'll be at the dermatologist for my six-month check and to have the stitches removed from my arm. It healed beautifully.

Something I didn't know before: When the doctor said I'd have them for two weeks, I asked why so long, when my two Mohs surgeries had only required one week. He said it's like real estate -- location, location, location. The face and head heal very quickly, arms and legs take longer, and feet are the longest. It has to do with distance from the heart. Who knew?

My uncle visit was most enjoyable. But when he is ready for you to leave - he's READY FOR YOU TO LEAVE.

It is nice to be reminded where I stand in the $$ line - but it's hard to respond to such information.

Back! With sutures removed, the freezing of a few things, and that should be that for another six months.

I would imagine that it also depends on any number of factors for each person. He was just giving me the general idea.

Back in the 1980s when I first decided to write a one-person play, I was trying to decide whether to my subject would be Clark Gable or John Barrymore.

Ultimately, for commercial reasons, I chose GABLE, and the play had several successful productions. A year or so later, Christopher Plummer did another one-person play on John Barrymore, so I moved onto other subjects (e.g. Spencer Tracy, Carole Lombard, Al Jolson, etal.)

Always fascinated with the Barrymore Family (Lionel, John and Ethel), I've have now written a play that deals with all of The Royal Family of Broadway, told from Ethel's viewpoint.

The Christmas tree is still standing.

We took the ornaments off over the weekend, but we weren't quite ready to take the tree out yet so the lights are still on it and it's still great to have them on in the evening.

It's been an amazing tree. I already forget the type, but it has to be one of the hardiest we've ever had. You can see the age on some of the branches if you look closely, but it still stands proud and tall, with no sagging or discoloration, and with surprisingly few needles dropping, even after ornament removal.

We cut it and brought it in a week after Thanksgiving. This is already the longest we've been able to keep a tree, so regardless of which day we take it out, it's a winner.

Wow. Keith would never let me keep a tree that long, no matter how good it looked. I am glad you were able to enjoy it.

Hmmm, I have never had them on my foot. I know the ones on my back take months to heal.

I am glad you had a nice visit. I like that your uncle lets you know when it is time to leave. That way you never over stay your visit.

Hopefully we will have been vaccinated before our 6 month dermatologist check in March. Either way, that is one visit we will not postpone.

I read what's his name's farewell address - I just couldn't stand to hear his voice again......it was about what I expected.....

I just remember the wonderful beginning of SO LONG, DEARIE - and Miss Channing singing those wonderful words....
