Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both older and wiser, and now it is time for you to post until the older and wiser cows come home.

The thing I thought was jam in a jar from the Darling Daughter was and is, in fact, a cupcake in a jar - she bought two cupcakes and spooned them into a jar - fun!  I'll have those today.

I slept well until 1:00 or so, and then it all went to hell.  I dreamed that my goddaughter Charlotte was in a production of Bye Bye Birdie at Goodspeed and all attempts to record the production were botched. For the rest of the night, I was haunted by Birdie tunes, and fitful dreams about the show.  It was hell.

I must drag up 40 lbs of litter this morning when I pick up yesterday's mail. As soon as the usual tidying up is finished, I plan on doing little.  I need to save my strength for tomorrow's ordeal getting to and from my CT-scan, which I would love to cancel.

I'm reading Carl Hiaasen's latest book Squeeze Me, which has received several bad Amazon reviews from Trump supporters for its idiot President and amoral, vacuous First Lady, here known by their Secret Service code names Mastodon and Mockingbird. One of the President's supporters, a wealthy antique "Potussy" (POTUS and pussy), has vanished from an exclusive Palm Beach charity event, and an illegal alien in ICE custody has been arrested for her murder. Since his books are about the rape and pillage of Florida's eco-system and environment by grifters, whores, thieves, and others of their ilk, Hiaasen has finally turned to the current presidential loser and his Palm Beach cronies around his estate, the Villa Bellicosa.

I am enjoying it immensely.

I’ve read only a couple of Hiaasen’s earlier books, which I loved. Must read some more.

I had the worst insomnia last night. At 2:46 am I stopped reading and listening to Dickens movies on TCM, set the clock radio to play, and finally fell asleep to it. Then I dreamed that I was still trying to fall asleep, and that woke me up an hour later. I laid there till 4:00 am, wondering if I should just give up, but mercifully got back to sleep again. Then the usual crazy dreams kicked in, and I was in and out of those till seven when I got up. The dreams were nonsensical, concerning first a lost screw (the metal kind) in a meadow, followed by a lost coat (not mine, I think it belonged to the person who was still missing the screw (the metal kind)), and when it (the coat) was found for the second time I accidentally let out a joyous big bad word right in front of Richard M. Sherman.
