MR. KLEMPERER'S MAHLER

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Mahler-esque and Klemper-esque (Mr. Klemperer was apparently quite insane), and now it is time for you to post until the Mahlerian cows come home.

The word of the day should be a word that the current occupant of a White House should learn.

Well, crap.  My wi-fi went out and turning my modem/router off and on hasn't helped. :P I'm posting from my phone now, but I was watching/listening to an opera on YouTube, so I can't anymore tonight.  My TV cable is fine.  It's just the Internet.

I'm running some kind of diagnostic that's going to restart my computer and automatically do some other troubleshooting things.  I don't think that'll help.  If it does, great.  If not, I'll go to bed and wait to see if it works after I get home tonight. ::)

Whew!  It actually worked!  And now that it does, I'm going to shut it all down and go to sleep. ;)

Have a good day, all!

Jeff, our super, has our building thermostats under control, and I am much, much happier.  The chillier weather seems to only affect Annabelle, who eagerly cannot wait to crawl under my blankets around 3 AM.  Thatch has been avoiding my bed, which is unusual, and Stella never shows up to cuddle until long past midnight.  She stays for a couple of hours, then spends the rest of the night romping, to my dismay.

DR JohnG, I too was never told anything about holding off on the Metformin post-colonoscopy.  I was advised to eat yogurt to help restore bacteria to the lower intestine.

BK, I have not made the update to Big Sur; I've been too apprehensive over what damage it will do and the last round of upgrades resulted in my having to wipe my computer and rebuild it from the hard drive.

I got the latest issue of Gramophone yesterday, and this new 13-disc set of Felix Slatkin got a very nice review.

I’m not sure that I’ve heard any Klemperer Mahler.

He wouldn’t be the only one missing from my roster, but that does seem rather remarkable.

Elmore, I don’t eat yogurt. I won’t eat yogurt. End of discussion.

Maybe I’ll have some kimchi instead.

There is a protest this morning at the Statehouse in Indianapolis to protest the Covid restrictions.

Why would anyone protest actions that are designed to help one?
