It's the Broadway one, which is what's so funny.  It's like my all-time fave in this genre:  "RARE!!! SOUND OF MUSIC SOUNDTRACK!!!!"

I have the RARE Sound Of Music soundtrack with the Spanish cover!

Which should say:

SONRISAS Y LACRIMAS... something like that!

I know.... nobody's asking me but i have the French version of the SOM soundtrack on LP! That is rare!

OH.... Two (2) DReaders mention the London Cast Recording of Mary Poppins with no comments, and i can tell you that it is a marvel!
Get it if you can; the singing is terrif', the new songs are just beautiful, the orchestrations quite subdued and charming!
Very faithful to the film and then quite different too!
Just listening to it makes one want to take the plane to London, England! (Or one's umbrella!!)

Isabelle Georges, Tomovoz????
Who the hell -- i'm quotting BK ;)! -- is Isabelle Georges??? :)

Dickie Wild?  Now why would the author use a name like that?

Just to check if there really is anyone out there François.  :)

I think the DRs need to be over 50 to recognise  "Kismet".

Of course "Mary Poppins" is not issued in the USA yet so officially it doesn't exist. lol  :D

Dickie Wild?  Now why would the author use a name like that?

Because the man's first name is Richard and he is a wild character!

Do you SEE any other reasons??? ;)

Good morning, all!  DRJose, especially a good morning to you!

I've got to run out and buy some videocassettes this morning, which I'll do around 9, so I can drop off some DVDs to a friend at Barnes and Noble.  Then, the post office, and a lot of work waiting here for me.

TOD:
VCR: blank tape for DRRodzinski
DVD:  Two films from Netflix: Widow of St Pierre and Bright Young Things
CD: " The Vagabond King" from Ohio Light Opera, Bryn Terfel's latest, perhaps some Zez Confrey.

BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS???  Sounds like the usual cheap porn that you keep in your VCR.

Happy Birthday to my very own DD DR Sandra!

I sure hope I remember where I put her gifts!

Well just ask DD Sandra, she could probably tell you.

Good Evening!

Nice walk.  Starbucks - Mocha Frap with a shot of Valencia.  Swept the front porch.  Swept the back porch.  The took a shower to wash all the pollen off of me.  And, man, was there a lot of pollen on the porches!  I just kept sweeping up "clouds" of green and yellow "dust".

Hmm... I guess that could be the source of my very light sinus headache.... Hmmm...

And speaking of pollen...

There were concerns yesterday that we might have had some twisters forming here and there due to the color of the sky during the height of the storms.  Well, the color in the sky was due to all the pollen in the air.

And it was announced today that Richmond is No. 7 on the list of Worst U.S. Cities for Allergy Sufferers!  -Hey, that's still better than the ranking of Murder Capital USA a few years ago.

Had a surprise visit from Miss Juliana A. Hansen and we lunched at the Daily Grill.  I ate their large Cobb Salad, which was most filling, TOO filling, and she had the Caesar with salmon salad.  We shared some popcorn shrimp.  Other than that, it was a very light lunch.  NO BREAD.

Oohhh...  The newest Cirque du Soleil show, "Varekai", is on Bravo tonight - well, now.  I was lucky to catch the show in person in LA.  My favorite one so far.  Some beautiful stage pictures.  And some great clowning too.

Don't you love the English language. So it is color that creates twisters. Did they issue a general warning or just specifically to friends of Dorothy?

Partner Colin and I went to see "Quidam" recently - enjoyable, but a little disappointing after the more theatrical "Allegria". Maybe the first visit to Cirque Du Soleil will always have the most "magic".

If we're gonna have crosses we should also have some Jewish stars, since this weekend IS Passover.

Well, I'm just a stone throw from the tent of the Cirque du Soleil playing Paris until the end of may, here.
http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/CirqueDuSoleil/fr/tickets/touring/saltimbanco/paris.htm

Show is SALTIMBANCO.
I planned on getting a ticket for it -- prices are high, and my budget is not! -- and a review has turned me off!

It said that the acts are fantastic, but that the pop-rock music is lousy, the costumes tacky and the sets, with fluo effects (or is it the costumes??) terrible!
Hummm....

I've seen one of the shows on Tv and it was faboo!
