I have a few knick-knacks and other weird kitschy things, too, but the ones that come to mind are stored away in places I can't easily get to today. As I unearth them, which I was already planning to get done in the next few months, I will post them.

In the meantime, I can definitely provide some records. I pulled out the few I have of the type BK was talking about, and a few others that certainly qualify. It's REALLY hard getting clear pictures of them because of their glossy covers. Even those with not-so-glossy covers pick up glare from everywhere. I have no idea how professional photographers capture these things. But I think I got serviceable shots, and I'll be back later with the Evidence. Have to make a bank and supermarket run first.

Every year I usually buy a cat wall calendar with the artwork of Lowell Herrero.  Until now I have never looked for examples of all of his artwork.  He loved to paint cats.

Last night, we watched HEARTS OF THE WEST (Jeff Bridges, Andy Griffith, etal).

Hadn't seen it for years.

Not as good as I remembered it.

That's always a bit disappointing.

Congratulations, DR Vixmom, on the minus 5!

I think they found their new home here.  And then some.  Although I did lose 15 in the hospital.

Maybe you can lose it now that you are out walking again.

This morning was our cat Mikey's Biannual Senior Preventative Exam, and he did fine. He's somewhere around 11-12 years old, and is in fine fettle except for his dental issues. He's one of those who's had dental issues from day one, or at least since he was rescued from the streets and we adopted him at around age two. No extractions are called for, but he needs a good prophylaxis, which only worries me because it has to be done under general anesthesia, and that can be dangerous if the procedure "insults" the kidneys. And his last bloodwork indicated he's another in line for eventual kidney disease. Oy!

Vibes he will be fine.

I just looked out the window, and it hit me all of the sudden:  Fall's here!

The leaves, they are a-changin'.

Same here.

DR Jrand70 - just noted the quote on your posts. Boy, is that right for the times we are living in.

DR Jane, I was not hereforto (that's one word!) familiar with the work of Lowell Herrero.  Love it!

Mikey will be fine. We just have to discuss with the vet the possible risks (down the road) of the anesthesia, and of course the cost, because she hasn't given us an estimate on it yet.

Along the lines of the "Music to..." albums that BK was talking about, I always enjoyed keeping this Jackie Gleason one around for the title and cover art.

Oh good Lord, here we go again with one that "fails security check".

It's maddening. These are all the goddamned same.

Anyway, on to another...

As I recall, the music on this one is forgettable, and I believe the record itself might not even be playable. But I always loved this jacket design. The opening for the record is at the top.

For some good bawdy fun, the songs and readings on this album are very well done, and a delight.

As far as comedy records go, however, I'm shocked and saddened to find "The Great Crepitation Contest" one missing.

Last night we watched the 1942 Rosalind Russell movie of My Sister Eileen. I wanted to like it.  Give me Wonderful Town!

The Betty Garrett version?

Loved the collection, ChasSmith.

My only objects are a series of Star Wars toys, many in the wrapping, that you got at Taco Bell.
