Vixmom, I need an oil change. But I'm worried about whatever viruses are left in the air after the service technician gets out of the car.

They were masked and gloved and had the windows open and then Clorox wiped the interior.  I kept my mask and gloves on for 5he trip him and kept the two front windows open

I never reported on my watching of THOROUGHLY MODERN. MILLIE.

It's wonderful. Sparkling. Do I ever say something is sparkling? I may indeed have just done that.

The three women are incredible -- as is everyone, really. And what pacing. Two and a half hours, and it flew by.

I was particularly into the music, both the score by Elmer B. and the song orchestrations by Andre P. The overture, entr'acte, and exit music held my attention as much as the film. And the sound recording is superb. It was a treat. I'll try not to let another thirty or forty years go by before my next viewing.

Now I'm trying to remember what BK said about MILLIE. I know it wasn't a glowing impression like mine was. I'll find it later and compare notes.

Damn it to HELL, what a beautiful day this was, and tomorrow we're back in the soup.

A cold, chilly, wet soup.

Next couple of days, actually.

We had a very gentle (precip-wise) winter this year, and I'm eternally grateful for that. But man, several years ago we had a 90-degree-plus heat wave in mid- or late April, and only today did we even break 60.

It was nice here today, in the 70s and low 80s. Then it's hot again.

Today's brunch...omelets.
Chopped onions, green peppers, roasted red peppers and mushrooms were sauteed with Penzeys Sunny Paris  and then put aside and kept warm for filling

Eggs were beaten with a spring whisk after adding a splash of cold water and a dash of Penzeys cream of tartar.  Beat until frothy. The cream of tarter stabilizes the egg whites and the eggs come out so light and fluffy.

Cooked in a good covered  skillet until it starts to puff up then added cheese (muenster for me, cheddar for him) and the sauteed veggies.  Covered until cheese melts then slid onto plate, folding over.  Garnished with sprinkling of Penzey's  Sunny Paris and Smoked Spanish Paprika. He had fresh  chopped  tomatoes as well.

Watching a few of Shirley Temple's shorts from before she was the biggest star. They're called Baby Burlesks and they're very odd. It's not that they're politically incorrect. Well, their target audience seems to have been pedophiles. 3- or 4-year-old Shirley does a bump and grind in one. A young black tap dancer does a suggestive tap routine in which he loses his clothes (or strips), down to his diaper. She can be seen kissing another tot. I'll hold off on watching Polly Tix in Washington and the rest when I can stomach it. I'm sure Kid 'n' Africa will be just a delight.

I am the "organizer" for this discussion I don't even care about.  I am enjoying the book "Shoe Dog" and finding it interesting which I didn't expect to do.  I still have absolutely no interest in discussing it.  Shoe Dog is the memoir by Philip Knight about Nike.

To continue a theme, I just put on the copy of Kinky Boots that George made me. Jane, tie it all into “the sex is in the heel.”

;D

I can't really do anymore frozen dinner things for awhile.  Just wasted calories, IMO.
