I finished changing the lyrics from all caps to normal type for Act Three.  I still have the appendix lyrics to work on tomorrow and I need to learn how to do footnotes in a Word document.

I think I had a program to help me my footnotes for my college papers

I have been paying more attention to Cook County but I get the feeling DR Ginny prefers I don't talk about it :)

Rob and Mary Linda are in DuPage County, but still greater Chicago.  So glad Rob’s out of both the medical field and the corrections system.

I didn't realize he was doing different work.  He is still with the same company, right?  What is he doing now?

About a year ago he quit being a jail medic and went to work in the lab at Mary Linda’s materials testing company.  He’s doing similar work in Illinois, but his healthcare background got him assigned to watch the governor’s daily briefing and help the company respond appropriately.

It sounds like an interesting job.

Someone asked if anyone was doing a Passover seder.  We did a shorter one over video (my sister and nieces at their house).  The only Passover thing that we ate was matzoh ball soup. No brisket or the usual foods as they are too difficult to get right now.

I miss my nieces so much. I saw them from 10 feet away when I brought them the matzah ball soup. It is so hard as I am used to seeing them 3-4 times a week.  And my birthday is coming up in a couple weeks and I know that I won't get to spend time with them. :(

Jennifer you have been video chatting, correct?

Mostly telephone calls and texting (my 10 year old niece got a kids version of facebook messenger).  We should definitely video chat more as it was really nice for the seder.

We have a couple of new videos of Freyja today.  They give us such joy, and such sorrow that we can't hold her.  I know how you feel.

It is really hard. I cry every time I see people with birthdays on the news. And they show their family members standing outside the window with signs. It won't be that bad for me (as I should be able to see my nieces outside for a few minutes).

I'm taking part in some video conferencing Partridge Family thing on Sunday and today they did a test.  Via Google Meet - it's horrible quality and really weird.  I'm sure there are better ways to do that?

In other news, Los Angeles has once again changed the story a mere two days later - now everyone must wear masks outside.  Good luck enforcing that, especially in neighborhoods where people are just taking a damn walk and not near anyone - in my nabe, there's never more than one or two people doing so - that doesn't go into effect for another five days.  And the stay at home has been moved to May 15 now.  If they move it again, I truly believe people will revolt.

In other news, I did pick up a mask so I at least have one if I need to go into a store.

What kind are you finding in stores? For now, around here, everyone seems happy with people just doing the scarf or bandana thing.

What a crazy day. But I think I’m about done enough with things that I can settle back into some LA NOW AND THEN watching.

Enjoy your outside time with them.  Keith's birthday is going to be hard for him as he planned to spend it hold Freyja.  Bryan had already scheduled time off so we should have a nice video chat, if she doesn't sleep through it ;D

Bruce do you plan to get used to it at home before wearing it out?  Knowing you can take it off any time might be easier with your claustrophobia.

I think I'm fine, mask-wise.  If I have to wear it to Gelson's I'm in and out fast enough to not have it be an issue.  Our longtime Kritzerland musical director posted this:  As you know, my wife works at a hospital and she is on the “Corona Floor” as they call it every other day. Masks do not stop the virus. What it does do is give people a false sense of security. They think if they put a bandana around your face that you are invincible from giving or getting the virus. My wife wears TWO MASKS and protective gear that looks like the hazmat suits in E. T. and still nurses are getting sick. You really think a bandana from banana republic is going to keep this at bay?
