DR CHAS SMITH I love The Drowsy Chaperone so much - and I am sure it is because I played The Man In The Chair.....but it is so much fun for the players and the audience......  I think MR BK should play this part somewhere.

I believe this is the beginning of "Monkey on  A Pedestal"....I am wearing my store bought hair and a bemused expression.

I started listening to an oddity from the past called The Body in the Seine (mispronounced “sane”). Dreadful.

It’s spring break. There’s nobody here this week and they still managed to make this a Monday.

"Chacun a son gout" is also Prince Orlofsky's song in Act Two of Die Fledermaus.

ANYWAY - I drove down to Greencastle today to pick up my perusal copy of Anything Goes.

The theatre street address was on the label, but there is no one at the theatre.  Concord Musicals has the MAIL TO address, but sent it to the bill to address.

The UPS man was discomboobulated and did not know what to do, so he delivered it to York Pontiac & Kia which is two streets over and about a mile and a half from the theatre.

The mail delivery address is Hammer & Co CPA - Mark Hammer is our treasurer.

The Playhouse president who is in Florida until next month was contacted and he asked our VP to go to York Pontiac to pick up the box.

VP Dustin messaged me and told me I could pick it up at his job at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home this morning.

When I was on my way, he called and said he was out on a call (translation: he had to collect a stiff somewhere), but that Jay, the funeral Director would be there.

I got to Bittles & Hurt and rang the bell (the door was locked), no one answered and it didn't seem polite to yell,  so I went around back and I saw Jay running through the parking lot.

I hollered at him and he came back - he was going to change a battery in one of the hearses....

He gave me TWO big boxes.

It seems they sent us ALL of our materials, which is okay - but I imagine we will be paying an extra fee for it.

I drove to Taco Bell to meet Sandi, my assistant director.  I wanted to leave the Piano/Conductor Score with her to give to our pianist/musical director who lives in town.

Great photo, DR Jrand69.

(Valley of the Dolls!). :)

I watched one college video of the show today, and there are a couple of others I'll catch later. I'm not positive, but I thought I saw a bad bootleg from Broadway there as well. One of the nearby theaters here played a nice production of it last fall. The Keyboard 1 part (which might be mostly piano) sounds like fun. I'll be looking forward to this one.

All kinds of orchestra parts......and many, many Vocal/Chorus books.....from Tams-Witmark.

I gave Sandi two scores (the other one for our keyboard player) and one of two Prompt scripts.....and worried all of the way home about our performers working with "sides."

When I got home I looked in the bottom of the big box and there were 18 MORE prompt scripts and NO "sides."  So we are saved, unless I cast more than 18 people.....

The End.

I thought the days of them sending out just "sides" for the actors were behind us. But someone was indeed worrying about that when we were expecting the CABARET materials last fall. Fortunately, it's all complete scripts.

I believe that someone on this here site was kind enough to send me an audio recording of the Broadway show....and perhaps video evidence as well......but it is all a bit hazy......

Well, I must walk through the woods and go over to the neighbor's house for "early welcoming of spring" cocktails. Or some such. It'll be good. He always grills something good on the barbie and puts out plenty of horse's ovaries...AND usually has a nice Bourbon. What's not to like?

Yes DR CHAS SMITH - it is good news tonight.

I had stopped even suggesting Tams shows because of the "sides" - so I'm not sure if this is new with Concord or if Tams had finally gotten the message.

The Cabaret materials all looked like everything else that's been around a long time, and we figured Tams had corrected that a while back.
