I prefer the Thanksgiving production, "MADAME BUTTERBALL."

Agnes Varda has died at age 90. Love her movies.

I'm up, I'm up - my gal from the publisher called to give me the news - books will ship Monday, which is the positive way of saying they're not shipping today.  That means they have sat on an expedited and escalated order for four days but somehow managed to print and ship the thirty wrong books in two days.

Theme for last night, courtesy Cole Porter:

Go to one of those nightclub places
And you’ll find me stretching my braces,
Pushing ladies with lifted faces
Round the floor.
But I must confess to you
There are moments when I’m blue
And I ask myself whatever I do it for.

I don't want to sit in a restaurant, especially Jerry's.

After the Orange Slug's Attorney General successfully condensed 300+ pages of the Mueller Report to 4, this was bound to happen:

Back from picking up one envelope, banking, and a vain attempt at lunch.  The traffic is so insane - at one-fifteen on a Friday Ventura Blvd. is JAMMED for no reason, the bank was JAMMED (I ended up at the ATM for the deposit), and it's just out of control.  Any chance of actually arriving at a food place of interest was done when I got to the major street near my house.  I just couldn't stand one more minute of it so home I came and I'm making wacky noodles because that's what I've got here and it's easy although a bit of a mess to clean up after.

  • A person should celebrate what passes by.

Did anyone see this notice?

https://yorktheatre.org/on-stage/events-parties/i-do-i-do-spring-2019

As bizarre as it sounds, my IDID director friend and I would go to see it, and we would especially enjoy seeing Mr. Jones again. Alas, not at their one-time-only benefit prices.

That sounds like a fun evening...you're right, expensive, but fun!

Oh my. Is this really a thing? If so, I have only now heard about it...

HAPPY PIANO DAY

Because, see, it's the 88th day of the year...

That's pretty cool! :D

Congrats!  Now you get to sit down with three of your closest friends...assuming you have three friends. ::)

Dad is home with a diagnosis of an ulcerated stomach. Don’t know what it means or the treatment. He did okay for his age with the anesthesia.

I am glad he is ok.  I am also confused.  I thought he was having surgery.  Did he or was it just and Endoscopy to diagnose the problem?

That’s a relief about the anesthesia - always a concern.

Richard and I went out to do some errands, had a nice late lunch/early dinner at Red Lobster, and each brought home enough leftovers for another meal.
