Then I ran the rest by Muse Margaret and we made our decisions, then I entered those, so proofer one is done with and later tonight I'll being entering what I can of proofer two and notating what needs to be discussed with Muse Margaret. We'll have that conversation tomorrow, and then I get proofer three's hard copy tomorrow and will go through that. So by Wednesday we should be all proofed and entered and I'll send it to Grant.

I ushered for a San Antonio tricentennial event. The Youth Orchestra and the Youth Symphonic Winds as well as the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet. It was a mixed bag. The Symphonic Winds did a bang-up job with the Barber Commando March and a suite from The Bartered Bride. The ballet danced to recorded music and it was not pretty. The youth symphony made a mess of a Glinka piece. But everyone did well with Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez.

There are 450 musicians in the various groups that make up the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio, or YOSA.

In May, all 450 will be playing together for what they call YOSApalooza.

Read the first 75 pages of an Emile Zola novel called His Excellency. It’s the first novel I’ve read on my new Kindle. I’m not sure I’m used to it, though. I had to start the book with an old-fashioned paper book to get into it.

But that translation was old and out of date. The new translation is available only in e-reader format for a few more months. But I’m part of an online group that’s reading it now, so I had to going on it before I’m due to summarize a chapter.
