And a happy haineshisway.com birthday to dear reader PennyO - not sure why she doesn't visit anymore, but she's certainly all over Facebook.

Monday morning greetings!  Up early to get ready to meet Rebecca for her birthday brunch (a few days early).

Bonus:  I'm here with DR Vixmom!

DR Vixmom, our house is also chaotic.  Rob and Mary Linda's live cut Christmas tree is in the living room, bare, and their decor boxes are strewn about.  Our artificial tree is in the family room, with lights only, and the decor boxes are on the couch.  Richard and I may get the ornaments on that tree this afternoon.

At 7:30 Annabelle decided I'd had enough sleep and started rattling the window blind.  The babies are fed and off to the bird watching.  I'm on my first cuppa coffee.

Annabelle's climbing again.  Last night she nearly killed Thatch when she dropped 5-6 empty CD cases pnyp the chair where he was playing from the shelf she was sitting on near the ceiling.  Earlier in the day she climbed to the top of the bookshelf next to my writing table and dropped a stack of books onto the floor.  When I got up this morning, my two caps I sit on top of a CD case when I'm not wearing one of them were on the floor.

This climbing means she's feeling much better and getting back to her old self, so I'm really happy.

A week to Christmas and here's a premiere:  the rough mix of an Appalachian Carol from the recording of our holiday show Moonshine and Mistletoe.

And it's a very quick hello from me because I've got to run out.  But I'll be back.  And then even later I'll still be here.  As they say.

THE LAST STARFIGHTER!?!

Spent time on that set with my late publicity client, Dan O'Herlihy, and his co-star, Robert Preston.

I guess it can be considered a "war movie"."

We watched A CHRISTMAS STORY (LIVE) last night. The logistics of staging that production were amazing.

We enjoyed the production...with 2 exceptions:

(1) Whoever that was who did the opening number, we couldn't understand the lyrics. Don't know if that was her fault, or the fact that the music was too loud.

(2) Matthew Broderick is a terrific performer, but except for the very end, there was nothing for him to sing. What a waste of talent.
