When traveling we hope for nothing bad to happen back home.  Sadly we just learned a dear friend is dying.  Right now I wish we could go to L.A.  :(

It's a picture of the River Walk with one of the more iconic restaurants in the foreground. I hate the restaurant's food, but those umbrellas are wonderful.

It was a nice evening.  I drove all the way by myself....and drove home in the dark all by myself....so progress is being made.

Chas make sure you call the Roadhouse for call ahead seating, they don't take reservations, but you can call ahead and be put on the waiting  list (they'll let you know the current wait  time for your size party) and you can do your waiting before you get there!
