There should be some housing law that forbids this action, DR Jeanne. It seems to me that, once you sign a lease, the place is your for the duration of the lease and the landlord, so long as your rent is current, is violating your privacy to show up. They can roam the halls of the building since it's common ground, but I would think the space you rent is your space and none of their business. First thing, check the legalities. Second thing, change the locks.

Jeanne, I imagine the laws do give the landlord the right to enter the property with legal notice.

I would hand them your list of necessary repairs when they walk in.

Around 3:00 last night our the batteries in carbon monoxide detector became beeping. I am shocked I went back to sleep after we figured out where the noise was coming from. Poor Keith did not.

I started listening to an audio version of Leaves of Grass today. The reader couldn't pronounce a few words properly, including ether and mariners. It was rather irritating.

There was also a poem called Eidolons, which he also screwed up. But since I didn't know the word, I didn't hold that one against him.

Vixdad called to see where I was and I explained the faulty fan issue

He drove over, picked up the knob I had been unsuccessfully trying to tighten the fan blade onto the center screw and in 10 seconds screwed it on and said I don't see the problem it works fine
