Of course my hair looks exceptionally nice today so I can look good for an MRI machine. ;D

At least I will feel fresh while trapped inside that thing.  I am sure my hair will no longer look good by the time I get out of it.

It is just my usual routine MRI, nothing new ::)

After reading my friend's recent, horrible reaction to her chemo treatment I will take some good vibes that the MRI remains routine and nothing is found.

My question for ASK BK DAY:  Do composers and lyricists get residuals for television showings of old movies on tv - i.e. Beach Blanket Bingo, Silk Stockings, Showboat.....

I know actors don't get residuals on pre-1960 work unless their contracts specifically included it.....but what about singers?

Singers get something, and I'm sure the writers are covered, too.

Joshie and I  finished Act one of The King & I.  He is on to the City Center gala of Sunday in the Park with George.  He learned the bad rehearsal was sooner than expected and he has things to prepare.

Two very good phone calls, one on Guys & Dolls and the other about two possible projects for Music Theatre International.  I also got an email from my attorney and we will talk tomorrow about "intellectual property."

The MRI machines have come a long way since that first one at the NIH when former DR Penny accompanied me on my first visit for the 4 year study.

45 minutes I was stuck in that loud clunky thing without being able to move.  The technician never said one word to me.  I expected her to ask if I was ok and to give me a count down on how much time was left.  Every inch of my body hurt.  Had I only been in there for my benefit and not to help other people I would have yelled "get me out of here".  Once I emerged Penny said I looked very angry.  Angrily I said "I am!!!!  Thanks to Penny being there I was able to laugh it off.

Over the years the machines have improved.  Best of all was today at the testing center here.  Twenty minutes in the most comfortable machine yet and the nighest technician I have had.  The ear plugs worked so well it was never too loud, in fact I had trouble hearing her.

Jane, I have to have an MRI every year. The only thing scary to me is the cost.
