So, the official restaurant of HHW seems to be McDonalds???

Oy and Vey!

Ha!

Hey, at least we're all up and dressed for the occasion.

Well, it was a disastrous commute for lots of people last night.  There are reports of drivers being stuck on the beltway and other roads for 5 or 6 hours.  The cause--about one inch of snow which became ice making for hazardous conditions.

Not good and now that layer of ice will be under the new snow.

Thanks for the vibes!   I made it alright to the airport. The cab only took about 15 minutes to pick me up. The guy on the phone said it might take up to an hour.

Excellent.

Most of the suburban school systems are closed for the day.  I imagine they'll be closed till the end of next week.

Hmm.  I'll have to check the Maryland schools.

I didn't need to check on the Maryland schools.  Craig emailed.  He is enjoying his morning home with his pets and expects to have a nice long weekend off of work.

I'm glad he isn't driving today.

The storm is expected to bypass us here in Indiana and the Ohio Valley - so we dodged that one DR GINNY.

I am home from City Center. I picked up my check, visited wth Joshie, and after waiting in the cold for a bus, decided to come home rather than wait for another bus to the market.  It looks as though I will be at City Center most of the weekend with Joshie to prepare for Monday's orchestra reading, so the chicken stew will have to wait.

In my emails waiting for me I got the fourth edit of Act Two of Gentlemen, Be Seated. So, I've got more work lined up after Cabin in the Sky.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  We had a late yesterday and an early morning today.  We all enjoyed ONCE last night.  This morning I had a nice long coffee visit with Becky and did some errands.  After my late lunch I could not rinse my plate because the street repair crew at Central and Alamo had turned off the water.  No warning, of course, which means the load Rob had in the dishwasher will have to be rewashed  :P

Dealing with AT&T is beyond belief. I think they deliberately hire people with IQs lower than a box of dead gerbils.

A link to a previous book.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......could that book be WRITER'S BLOCK?

All along, I've been picturing funny restaurant conversations as including my favorite character Patrick Bronstein.  But that would link this book to several Hofstetters, not just one book.

Yes, Jeanne's clew could be taken with a grain of salt and finally someone has guessed correctly :)  The book is very much about the life, times, and career of one Patrick Bronstein.  I'll tell a bit more about it in the notes and reveal its title.

I saw one map that looked like we may just get grazed by the storm - some flurries and snow showers.

Yes, the admiration and thanks of a grateful nation. It's not worth as much as a sausage muffin from McD's, but close.

Here is a nice "preview" of SECOND SAMUEL written by a local reviewer, who can't review it, because he is in the play.
