Vincent D'Onofrio as Orson Welles, but I believe the vocal impression is by voice actor, Maurice LaMarche:

Maurice LaMarche on the Jon Lovitz cartoon in his appearances as Orson Welles, THE CRITIC:

Of course, they were all obliquely referencing the infamous FROZEN PEAS commercial:

Got a job at the sound engineering program in Rothschild.

Is this a new job, bigbuck?  If so, Congrats and Good Luck!

Topic of the Day:

Citizen Kane...otherwise, I'm not specifically an Orson Welles fan.

Orson, needless to say, is quite displeased.

A favorite Orson Welles narration of mine is for Nicholas Ray's King of Kings. I still cannot pronounce "apostles" like Welles could, in which the "t" is stressed yet seems natural. Makes the word sound foreign almost. My ears always tune in carefully at that point in the movie because I try to process that.

Golly!   After multiple attempts over the past week or so, I have finally managed to "log in".  I must have changed passwords five or six times before anything "took".

That said, I am here.

There's a TOO MUCH JOHNSON version that runs over an hour, which may just be that. The Eastman House version runs just over 34 minutes.

Here's the longer "version" with music that was selected for a film festival showing:

It would be great if somehow the Marshall Efron show The Illustrated, Simplified and Painless Sunday School were available. I looked forward to it every Sunday morning. Efron would play all the parts relishing the low budget nature of the program.

Here's a sketch from the show:

Good morning, all!  Today I will make one of my very last treks to Toyland.  I hope that DR JohnG is correct and that there will be another Toyland coming down the pike.  Soon, too!

Hugs DR elmore and Good Vibes there will be another Toyland in your near future, or something better!

One of the funniest ever bits from SCTV with Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Andrea Martin, and John Candy as Orson Welles:

https://youtu.be/mgH286eOni4

(still makes me fall off the chair)

Funny, DR Dan M!  This led me to other SCTV videos on youtube.  Hysterical!

I had the greatest time of my life. Had a few coffee breaks in between. The breaks were completely in vain because we are doing a short show and it helped me with ideas.

Happy birthday Arnold, once again.

Have a good one!  ;)

Well, I must be going.  I'm ushering for a local production of Time Stands Still.  I've never heard of it before, but it's supposed to be very good.

Be back later!

Nor had I, but it's next on the slate at my local theater.
