Needless to say I agree with BK's choice for best "pick-me-up" video!

Waiting for my neighbor to come upstairs for a minute.  He owns the condo below me and it's been empty for many years (he married and moved away). He's getting ready to sell it.  I've been spoiled all these years not having anyone below me.

Speaking of the Tony Awards, there was a list on facebook today with the greatest performances.   I couldn't believe that "We'll Take A Glass Together" wasn't on it.

I had a delightful time visiting my friend Sue today.  She has a nice retirement job as manager of the Curriculum Materials Center at the University of Dayton.  I had a tour of the facility and then we had lunch at the bistro one floor below.

Somebody get me a coffee and you have done someone a favor.

Keith (my husband) had the same problem this morning.  It caused him to do some funny things :)

Toyland has a new ruler.  Building management asked the Man from Philadelphia to be out by the 15th since a new tenant has been found. Tomorrow, I will pick up a few more things at the office, speak to the super abut taking some of the furniture out between June 10 and 12, and see if any of my colleagues there want to take any supplies.

I was very happy working there for seven years, and I will miss it.

Sorry-grateful feelings, I'm sure. Hope there's a new toyland in your near future.

Today, I was busy...first, in a meeting and then I was ordering high demand titles.  We actually have been leasing books for our adult fiction high demand titles...we keep them only until the holds queue goes below the threshold of five holds per copy, then we get to send them back.  That way, we're not stuck with all these books that will have to be gotten rid of anyway.  We have a "Leased" fund account, and the fund code is "LSD." ;)

Anyway, a co-worker of mine told me about a new pizza parlor that opened up in Lacey, about 10 miles away from where I live.  I think I'll go there for dinner now to see how good their pizza is.

Be back later!

It was a strange day. But the best part of it was getting a loaf of chocolate bread. But the worst part was realizing I have to lose three pounds. Ugh.

Watching another bootleg tonight, this time it's the old TV version of "A Connecticut Yankee" with Eddie Albert. Filmed on a budget of about $17.50, But it's still enjoyable, and it has those great Rodgers and Hart songs.

So, now onward to surgery in June! I passed the cardiac stress test with flying colors. Despite all of the chemotherapy and the possibilities of damage to the heart muscle from the aggressive treatments I've received, I was told that my heart "squeezes" in all ways it should and very well at that!

Listening to Jane Smiley's "Early Warning," a sequel to "Some Luck." The first book started off with one family and the births of a half-dozen kids. Now we have so many subsequent generations that it's hard to keep all of the grandchildren and their stories straight, but I'm still enjoying it for the historical details that she provides. There's supposed to be a third book. Guess I'll just have to wait.
