I can't get beyond the trashing stage to reach the packing stage.

Jane, whenever I've had to pack and move, I always get stuck. I do really well then just seem to get stuck and not be able to accomplish anything.  Luckily every time there's been a deadline I've had a friend come over and say "Ok, let's get going" and help me get done.   It's an overwhelming process in my opinion. One I hope I don't have to do again

Monday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I are back from a little road trip to Richmond, Indiana, to meet our new great-nephew.  They are now on their way home, but we decided it would be less confusing for us to visit them in the hospital than to wait until they were home with all the grandparents, other relatives, friends, and the dog and cat.  We had a nice little visit, just the 5 of us, and left when they took Baby J away for one last blood test before being released.  He is a real sweetie who got to meet his godparents yesterday:

Wonderful!

Tell Jo Anne Worley!

Too bad they are having to kill millions of chickens that have avian flu.  It's really sad

I swore I would never move again, but lately I have been thinking of getting another mobile home.

My Canadian SIL texted me to let me know that both her parents were in hospital

Fortunately they were wearing the life alert pendants that they didn't want but which my SIL insisted they wear if they ever wanted to see her again

TCB, sounds like you need a chart to know what drops to do on what day

The last couple of months.  It would have to be a used mobile home, because I couldn't afford a new one on my fixed income.

I know!  Hopefully, the surgery won't be as bad as it sounds!

A couple of years ago, my eye doctor told me that he saw the beginnings of a cataract in one of my eyes.  If it keeps growing (there was barely any change when I went in last month), I'll eventually have to have surgery, also. :P

Would it be easier or harder for you to get around in a mobile home?

I have two favorite Steven Wright quotes:

"You can't have everything...where would you put it?"

Actually, it would be easier. I have seen several listings for mobiles with ramps on the front and/or back doors

Seriously, that's what I would do. Then you can cross it off when you do the drops.

I think I will continue my GREAT EXPECTATIONS streak with the 1946 David Lean film tonight, then move on to the BBC 1981 version with Joan Hickson as Miss Havisham.

DR JRand64, I look at some of those photos and think you look like the Madwoman of Beirut!

Whatever you do, don't listen to the musical versions. There are two flopsicals based on the book.

I re-read Great Ex last year or the year before. It really is one of Dickens' best novels.
