DR George, thank you for letting us know about Unshelved.

It really is a fun comic...it's not knee-slappin' funny, but certainly anyone can enjoy it.

Ben Affleck and David Fincher Reteam for ‘Strangers on a Train’ Reboot.

Discuss.

:-\

Unnecessary.

It's also sad that Patricia Highsmith isn't even mentioned in the piece. She must not have a Facebook or Twitter account, so she's of no importance whatsoever.

Groan.  I suppose it is time for a new generation to see this film.  It is a shame they simply don't watch the original.

And here's an Ask BK:

Have you been back to the Hamburger Hamlet recently?

I hope they are doing well.  Just found a web page that looks good but seems to be a work in progress, at least on this iPad.

Good question.

Do you think they will call it Strangers on a Plane?

Today, I moved my Air Walker exercise machine to another room in the house where I can watch a television while I lose weight.....then I went to Goodwill to buy a small television.....then I went to WalMart and bought an HD antenna.....then I realized that the small used television is an analog set and will not receive the over the air signals without a scrambler box.....

SO I hooked up my unused VCR to the small television set, so I can watch my tapes as I lose weight.  My HD television didn't have another input for the VCR....so it hasn't been used in awhile.

Everything works fine.  Now I just need to use the AirWalker.  And that has been my day.  Whew.

Bruce, if I remember correctly you were in this house.  While it wasn't very far from me, and I often road the bus with Susan, I was never friends with her off of the bus.

I will never understand why Ray Bradbury's house needed to be torn down.  [/b]

Chicago Tribune has a story on building a better casserole on their website, but you have to pay to read it. I don't know that I really want to. I once took a cooking class in casseroles using fresh ingredients, and the people in the class hated the end results. Guess part of the comfort involved is the canned mushroom soup flavor, the canned green beans, the canned crispy onions, etc.

I think a lot of people overdo it with the canned mushroom soup.  The person who made the otherwise delicious green bean casserole for our Thanksgiving dinner did that.  It was too soupy.  Still tasted very good, but when the canned crispy onions got too mushy too fast, you know you're in trouble.  At least, for my humble taste.

I just put Bradbury's name, on my original post, in bold letters so it stands out.

No, he's a construction worker. It's Strangers on a Crane.

Or, given the way Hollywood is with most remakes, Strangers Down the Drain.

I know he graduated Los Angeles High as he was in my uncle's class.  I had to look up to see that he was born in Illinois.  Neither have anything to do with Indianapolis ;D

And thus far, I've written about eleven pages, so I really only need to do two or three more later tonight.
