Ask BK Day

Did we already order Sandy's new album, or is that upcoming?

Happy Hump Day!  I always hoped that would have a different meaning after I retired.

We were supposed to have another big rain storm arriving from Oregon at around midnight.  It must have gotten stopped for a speeding ticket, because it is late.  Either that, or Jane wouldn't allow it to come north until she had squeezed every drop out of the storm.

A SCREAM FROM AN.EMPTY THEATER should be the name of a new murder mystery by someone.  Maybe I should go back to writing.  My acting career has kind of reached a standstill.

Sorry George, I guess the inspections don't apply to Thurston County.  Guess where we have our seat of government?

Tom, it's not a big rain storm, but it's raining here in Tumwater now.

Interesting.

Seriously, I believe it is based on population.

Well, speaking of cars...yesterday, I left work and drove downtown to the call-backs for "The Head That Wouldn't Die."  As I got off the freeway and stopped at the first stoplight, I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood of my car!! ??? It smelled like something was burning! :o As I started driving again, the smoke dissipated, but the next time I stopped again, there was the smoke and the smell.  Fortunately, I was able to get to the theater without my car exploding (I was imagining the worst case scenario all the way).  Actually, the day before, I checked my oil and it was low.  I got some oil, but I didn't get a chance to add it.  After the audition, I was able to add the oil.  I called my sister who only lives a couple of miles from where I was, and was able to drive my car to her house.  She let me borrow her car and today, I'll drive back over and try to drive my car home.  My sister's boyfriend will drive behind me in case it starts to smoke again, but I won't drive the freeway.  I'll take the main streets through town.  I don't know if the oil was the cause of the burning smell and smoke, or if it was something else like a belt.  Whatever it turns out to be, hopefully it won't be too expensive.

Of course, it's bad timing.  I had an audition last night, I'm ushering tonight, and tomorrow night starts the second weekend of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [revised]. :P

For better or worse, i'll likely be less E&T than I have been, unless the boss has some surprise projects that have somehow been held off until after tax season.

The first words I heard when turning on CNN (when I switched over from NY1) happened to be "projectile vomiting" - it first felt like it's too early in the morning for this kind of talk, but I admit the discussion of ebola is really starting to seem necessary.

Really enjoying the commentary on the putting together of Sandy's album (and The World Goes Round album).  I'm noticing that there are tidbits in the posts that are not in the notes, which makes doing a real sweeping ketchup of what I've missed in the posts even more necessary.

Woo hoo! My Birding Buddy arrives today. She lives half the year in the mid-west and half the year here. I've missed her the last several months.
