I'm up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep, and I pretty much slept through the night.

I wish I still had the DVD to go back and look.

I'm reading more about Bernie now.  I hadn't known about about his release.  I found an interesting article written by Marge's niece. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/9243732/How-my-wicked-aunts-murder-became-a-Shirley-Maclaine-comedy.html  That woman truly was a horror.

My son called me first thing this morning.

His mother passed away last night.

Despite our differences, I still cared about her and I owe her much.

Not a good day.

DR Druxy I am sorry to read your news.  My deepest condolences to your family.

I just heard from our DR Ben. He and Anthony have been in Minneapolis with his sister, who's been ill. She died yesterday.

A day of sad news. :(

Saturday afternoon greetings!  Mary Linda and I were out of here at 10am for AAUW Middletown's October meeting and book brunch.  Our speaker was Katrina Kittle, a bestselling novelist who lives in Dayton.  She was a delightful speaker, the catered brunch was delicious, and the business parts of the event went well.  Madame President is now geared up in her Michigan sweatshirt and ready for some football - painful as it will probably be.

And I have been to and from the pharmacy. Public transportation is screwed up today. I waited over 20 minutes for a 104 bus downtown, and then three arrived back to back. I got to the pharmacy and picked up my meds, and waited over 20 minutes for an 11 bus back uptown, so I walked to Broadway and picked up a 7 bus to take me home.

Public transportation in this City is ridiculous.

I should ask why they don't sponsor book brunches here.  Do you also like her books?

Good morning, all!

Another morning of no internet. I had a loverly conversation with a Time Warner technician about the situation and my frustration. Clarly, Time warner doesn't think that four days of on and off outages is a concern. If Iwere a business suffering from this, they might feel differently.

On top of that, I am coming dowm with a cold, which irritates me, and I must go out in the damp to the pharmacy and market.
