Seattle's GREAT WHEEL looks a lot like the LONDON EYE. Sorry you didn't get to go today, DR George, but I imagine you will sometime soon!

The London Eye moves so slowly that a trip around the wheel takes about half an hour or more. No complaints, as you get to linger over that view!

However, I did find that mirrors on poles that they used to check around each car (in an attempt to prevent terrorism) a bit alarming!

The Estate Sale next door wasn't too disruptive. A lot more traffic and parking on our street today, but no crowds or lines-down-the-block types of activity. I looked out the window right around 8:00am (when they were supposed to start distributing numbers) and didn't see a large crowd. But it does appear that there are a substantial number of people whose weekend entertainment is to scour the ads and tour the yard/tag sales and estate sales.

Well, time for me to go.  I'm going to my sister's house before the restaurant to hang out.  We'll see what happens after the restaurant.

Have a good day, all!

I just took a gander at the menu.

Wow!  It certainly is!       :)

Happy 50th birthday to the dear sister of DR George.

Today is my youngest's 35th.  35, how did that happen!

My advance copies of ROBERTA just arrived!

Huzzah!  Can't wait for a listen when it hits the street.

And if you hadn't gone west, you might have been on it!

Well my encounters with Mr Larry Moore, Mr Bruce Kimmel, Mr Skip Kennon and Mr Fred Landau have been high points that I treasure and I continue to feel fortunate that they allow me to share in their lives

I feel so privileged to be included on such a list!!!

You can actually watch "Sweeney Todd" on PBS's website here:  http://video.pbs.org/video/2365329433/

I had to log in to be able to watch it in hi-def, and I don't know how long it's be available, but you can watch the whole thing on-line.

:D

Hopefully they will repeat it sometime soon.  Or I suppose I can buy the DVD (during the  next Pledge Drive).

or as we call them - Begathons

"Whining for Dollars" in our house.

I may have to steal that!

DR JANE - Elvis had his customary "leading lady" romance with Miss Donna, who for some reason took it much more seriously than she should have....and was shocked to get a cease and desist letter from The Colonel....

DR TCB - said Tony-Award winner is well-liked by many many persons....as is the irritating hostess of the program from last night....so let's just say - I am expressing only my own opinion.

Nice restaurant report from DR ELMORE....

Crabs self-amputate, you know.

I learned that from watching a movie titled A.C.O.D. [Adult Children of Divorce] - which is very funny and which I recommend if you are looking for something to kill 90 minutes or so.

It features Jane Lynch and Catherine O'Hara in fine supporting roles.....

George  could you please add me to your little list?

Absolutely.

Also, did you want a copy of when Barbra Streisand was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon...or was it someone else?  I don't remember.

George
I would love the Barbra/Jimmy Fallon show if it is  not too much trouble

I've been tracking the National's game since Craig is celebrating his birthday there.  Unless they are playing the Phillies he roots for them.  They just won :)

TOD: Of course, our own BK!  And Mr. BB.  And I'd have to say Lynn Redgrave at the Broadway Flea Market Photo Booth.
