Ask BK Day:

Why do some DVDs have sound issues. For instance, I have watched DVDs where the music was so much louder than the rest of the film, making me have to constantly turn the volume up and down.

Or...DVDs where you have to turn the volume waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up in order to hear anything.

This happens with both new and old movies.

I'm sitting at Firestone throwing yet more money at my car.  Oil change, alignment, etc.  It never ends.

Good Morning All:

TOD:

DR BK,

When are you going to write a book about Benjamin Kritzer in the young adult years?

I hope that you do soon!

Yesterday's Library Report:

SHADOW OF A DOUBT.  (I have seen several times and I really like it)
THE NATURAL (I have also seen several times. This was filmed in Buffalo which makes it extra special to me)
BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT ( I can't remember if I saw this or not)
THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES ( I also saw this and really enjoyed it)

LIBRARY BOOK:

THE CITY OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT BY RHYS BOWEN.  Have any DR"S read this? It is a MOLLY MURPHY NOVEL.

PURCHASED USED BOOKS:

THE QUEENS'S FOOL, BY PHILIPPA GREGORY
ELSKE, BY CYNTHIA VOIGT.

Have any DR'S READ THIS?

DR Kate, I'm a fan of the Molly Murphy series, but I'm not yet caught up to this one.

This morning the DD was able to walk downstairs on his own to go outside, and he has (finally) started eating a little bit. I believe we have turned the corner (for the better)!  Thanks for all your kind wishes - they seem to have done the trick. I am very grateful.    :)

Thank goodness!!!!

CONTINUED VIBES FOR DD ZACK!!!!

Has to do with bad mastering (or authoring).  It happens today with Blu-rays, too.

It is Wednesday morning here in Oakland CA.  It's 11:30 a.m.

Hump Day is almost on a downhill slide.

I would rather buy the beautiful heart shaped donuts.  I do need vegan treats to serve at my book group.  Please post the recipe, though I expect it will be more work than I want to do.
