Last night's weird dream:

I was in bed, asleep, when someone knocks on the door and then walks into the room. It is a woman I used to work with me at Children's Services. Anyway, she comes in and says, "You can't see the Northern Lights tonight, so don't bother getting up."

So I didn't.

I think that's why I'm finally melting down a bit. I'm finally realizing that I've had to act like Edith leaving her job the way she did, not getting the judicial position and finding out later the deck was stacked all along, and the hit my business took from all of the above didn't bother me so I could keep at it when all of it really hurt my feelings and frankly totally ticked me off. All of this at a time when I have a lot of hearings, brief and application deadlines. I know other people have worse problems than this, but I'm so tired of dealing with all of this

The 22nd. I have too much going on this week to be able to get her settled in. I can do it the week after so that's when she's starting. I've got to get her a parking pass, introduce her to the building manager, get an email set up for her and get the computer configured for her. Too much to do to have her start any sooner

I know. I talk to them every day and try to get up there for a day every month. It's the best I've been able to do for a couple years. I'm going to try to take time over the holidays, but I still don't have anyone who can give Callie her meds, so I really don't want to spend more than a night without coming home to take care of her. Luckily they are only 2 hours from here, so I can do that
