Well, you've read the notes, the notes prayed for Rosemary's Baby for naught, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently watching the MOOniseries of RoseMOOry's Baby.

Topic of the Day:  Andromeda Strain (the TV series).  I didn't even watch much of it, but it was not good at all.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

I remember seeing the commercials for the remake of "Rosemary's Baby," and I like the actor who plays the husband (but not enough to watch the movie).  He's on "Suits," which I also like.

Good morning, all.

Up an hour or so too early, but I'll try to grab a nap later.  That will be important, as tonight's a rehearsal night.

Good morning, all! I slept well, and i will soon leave for physical therapy.

I could tell from the TV ads that the remake of "Rosemary's Baby" was going to be a stinker. Why bother? I catch enough TV stinkers unaware.

On a happier note, I was notified by a friend that the "Roberta" recording is now up for pre-order on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Roberta-Jerome-Kern/dp/B00MTZWDPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408447571&sr=8-1&keywords=kern+roberta

DR TCB, I saw your vicious and cruel remark after I had dropped off the site last night.  Although I understand your jealousy and respect my elders, I would send you a bitchslap by USPS, but given their track record here, your chances of receiving it are small.

And I'm enjoying the two versions of the Time Warner commercial for Direct TV featuring the stars of SUITS!  (the one with the two male stars taking a deposition with the Time Warner representative)  Even more fun to see how they take much of the same footage and make two different-feeling ads out of it.

following up from yesterday

after doing some further reading about iTunes 11

They did away with the image of the album cover in the lower left corner.

Glad Larry was able to rectify his image problem.

As for the genre problem

I used to change the information to my liking (Composers, Artists, Genre etc) and then upload the information back to iTunes. It doesn't look like you can do that anymore

TOD:

The Andrew Davies version of A Room With a View, complete with inane added ending that dragged World War I into the tender love story. Stick with the Merchant-Ivory version, one of the best adaptations I've ever seen.

TOD:

I'm going to answer this question in reverse.

What book was vastly improved in it's film version?

L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, possibly the best movie to come out of Hollywood in the last 20 years.

After I saw the film, I read the book...and it was terrible

The screenwriters certainly deserved the Oscar they won, but the film should have also taken the Best Picture award over TITANIC.

Up and back from the dentist after too little sleep.

Since the area is so sore, they decided to postpone the prep for the crown until it has settled down, for which I was quite grateful. But the area is less sore today, and nothing else appears to be wrong, so that's good.

Pain free vibes for DR SINGDAW.

Continued health vibes for DR MIKE.

We are waiting on pins and needles for news from DR CILLA LIZ!!!  The planets are in good order, there may be a couple of other hoops to jump through and be prepared if someone claims they didn't "have time" to get everything together....they did and it will not be allowed.

TOD:

The television mini series of VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and the theatrical version of THE LOVE MACHINE.....as bad as the books were, at least they were better than those two versions.

It is nice to have a movie version of ATLAS SHRUGGED - Part Three comes out in September - but the low budget did some harm....and in the novel, the leading lady gives up a diamond bracelet for a bracelet of Reardon steel.....in the movie, she gives up a diamond necklace.....why change an iconic exchange?
