Well, it is not decided for certain, but it looks like I will be traveling to Burbank next month for the Ray Court's Show! My buddies Laurie Mitchell and Kenny Miller will be there and I plan to join them!

Plus, there are some guests that I am looking forward to meeting...among them, Dolly Read from BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS! And the wonderful singer Monica Lewis!

Can't wait to see who else is added to the guest list! Hopefully Bruce Kimmel will be among them.

In the second grade we were told what song the kids sing in Russia:

You'll wonder where your father went.
If he talks about the government.

After sleeping poorly Monday night, being outside for 7 hours yesterday, and drinking wine and showering before bed last night, I slept like a rock for almost 8 hours last night.  Today, it's back to family & household stuff and some AAUW administrative work.

I envy you. Little sleep last night.

DR Mike, best wishes on all your test results and decision making.  I know many people with stories like DR Vixmom and those who have had thyroid cancer.  They are all doing well.

Morning, all!

"LAMBENT" - is that a doctor who treats sheep's ear infections?

Recently, someone set up a book exchange near my train station. This has added about 5 minutes a day to my daily commute, about 5 lbs. to my work bag, and now some upper back pain... ugh...

I think it's a dance. Doin' the Lambent Walk, eh!

At 2:30 this morning I sent an email to Keith that I was not feeling well and turning off my alarm.  I also sent one to the organizer of my hiking group so she would know I might not show up.  I slept until 7:45, too late to hike.  It is lovely out and I wish I could have gone.  Oh well.  They didn't go anywhere too exciting or I would not have turned off my alarm and would have gone.

BK, I still don't understand why you spend so much time watching movies you dislike.

It is mind boggling ;D

There was a time when I too would have complained about "only" 8 hours of sleep.  After 4 1/2 hours of restless sleep "only" 8 hours sounds heavenly to me.

Turning off the alarm only gave me an extra hour this morning and I was fully awake by 7:45.

Home from the Porter trust and a delightful lunch. They only copied half of the score so I need to go back next week.

Well, this is kind of cool..."Lucky Stiff" Film Musical, With Jason Alexander, Dennis Farina and Nikki M. James, Will Premiere at Montreal Film Fest.  And this is the first time that I've seen artwork:

My body seems to rebel (by waking up) after any more than 7 hours of continuous sleep. At least, that's been my experience.

Good morning, all! After several god nights of sleep. last night wasn't so good. I had a dream set in a Macy's warehouse, filming a wedding commercial with Liz Callaway, but it's vague now. I remember table settings and white clothing, lots of crew, and a subway ride. I was awake about 3-5 times last night, and I really hate that.

So, today's program: Yesterday, I had to send the Man from Philadelphia all of the completed liner notes for the recording. They had been trimmed to shreds to cut the number of pages to keep the production costs down. Then, further complications affected the booklet and there was room to expand the various essays, which I did, and sent them all to New World Records. When he learned this yesterday, he demanded all for review. I've received his revisions for two of this morning, and I have to deal with that. I'm no longer being paid, so that irks me.

At 11, I shall head for a bus and meet for lunch my friend Roberta at the Cole Porter Trust. That will at least be fun after all the New World Records angst. I think that's all my news. I expect more aggravation before the day is over.

I didn't know that they served food at the Cole Porter Trust.

Lucky Stiff is some kind of weird thing - it has no shot at being a hit, so one wonders who funded it and why.
