New study reported on AOL says early bird may get the worm, but may be more likely to lie to get it:

"If you ever wondered what's wrong with people who jump right out of bed in the morning, well, a new study shows you might just be onto something: early risers may be less honest as the day goes on.
According to the US study with data acquired by researchers from Johns Hopkins, Washington and Georgetown, early birds may get the worm but they may not be so moral to get it. So, larks are more likely to cheat and lie than people who are late to bed and late to rise.
This of course flips the stereotype that night owls are badly behaved. But, before you start judging all your friends, family and lovers based on their sleep schedule -- listen up, because while morning types were less likely to resist temptation in the evening when their mental energy was low, those who burn the midnight oil tend to have similar issues in the morning when they're tired.
So, in the end, it turns out, you can't trust anyone. But, at least you know when it's more likely they're telling the truth."

Is this one of those things we shouldn't believe ;D

Today is National Ice Cream Day.  Just so you know.      :)

In honor of of the day I had a junior scoop of peppermint stick ice cream on a sugar cone.

I bought a new rocking chair for my front porch at the Marsh Grocery Store.  The manager sold me the one that he had put together - which was very nice of him to do.

I want to buy a small white table now....since the brown one doesn't match.

A white table would look nice with your new chair.  If I have to assemble something I am likely not going to buy it.

DR elmore do you have an alarm on your cell phone?

I need a new travel alarm clock that I can hear.  I don't want one that is too loud.

Now listening to the immortal Piano Concerto 2 of Rachmaninov, this one Entremont and Bernstein.  The other Rachmaninov concertos in this set are with Ormandy - they're up next.  The Ormandy recordings are technically superior to the Bernstein recordings, at least for me.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I slept very poorly last night, but managed to make it to church with Richard, Rob, and Mary Linda at their church in Mason.  Richard and I have both napped this afternoon while the kids continue to get settled upstairs.

All in all, I'd rather be at the Metropolitan Room...

Did BK get to see the show by the video transmission set-up they had for the Christmas show?

And I am home from my excursions to Toyland and the Metropolitan Room.  I accomplished much at Toyland before DR ChasSmith arrived. Then we visited a bit, dished all the DRs, and looked at all the McGlinnventory before heading over to West 22nd Street. There, we met the wonderful DR vixmom, the vixter, and Charles Maurer, who seems a nice young swain for the vixter.

The show was quite wonderful. Sandy sounded spectacular, and the band - which was larger than I expected: piano, guitar, bass, and drums - played really well. There were many stunning moments, but my favorites were "The Wrong Side of the Tracks," "Make the Man Love Me," and "Why Can't I Forget."

BK, your song "Simply" was really a highlight.

Thank you for the early report on the show.  If only we could easily pop into any location we want for the day.

Back!  This turned out to be one of those great days driving into and out of the city, with nary a problem or an irritation anywhere.

It was great to visit Toyland, Sandy's show was wonderful, and so was the HHW company.  We really should do things more often.

Thanks for the reminder, DR Elmore, because I forgot to mention earlier that I really loved "The Other Side of the Tracks", too.  And I found "Goodnight, My Someone" exceptionally nice.  Everything worked together and flowed beautifully.

Photographic evidence to come.

Since I didn't want to use flash, I should have set the exposure higher to avoid blurring.  Nevertheless, I like this one well enough...
