I was surprised to wake up this morning to see a light dusting of snow on the ground.  I disappointed there isn't more in the mountains.

DR Vixmom, sorry about your phone.  I hope some kind person mails it to you.

I've seen the promise to return the phone.  I expect they will after you have made it easy for them to do so.

Glad you're OKAY DR ELMORE!  My sidewalk had a bit of snow on top of what turned out to be a sheet of ice...so I nearly fell on my aspidistra this morning while taking the garbage cans out to the street.

Most of the research I found on the inner web about printers confirmed that the cartridge was usually the culprit, so I am happy it turned out to be so in your case.

NOW...if it is not out of your way....you might try a thrift or Goodwill store for a CD player.  People are getting rid of nice ones for the very reasons that were pointed out here on HHW a couple of days ago:  most music is now downloaded.  I have seen several really nice sets at my local Goodwill store.  Just take a CD (theirs are usually sealed), put the player in your cart and roll to the outlet, plug it in,  and try it out....certainly make sure the power cord is with it.  Sometimes if it isn't, you can find one on another item that fits it....  You might save some $$$$.

From DR Dan:
Quote
In January 2013, my PET scan showed that the cancer was in every part of my body.  My oncologist said I was the worst case she ever had.  By December 2013, the latest PET scan was taken, all the cancer was gone!  Literally a clear picture.

WOW!!!!

And here we are at Atlanta airport with 3+ hours to spare.  We planned some extra time, then earned a little more from Delta with a 40 minute departure delay.

DR Elmore, take a hot bath and your pain reliever of choice in case some soreness develops later.

And take care!

And here are my adventures so far this morning:  I walked to my bank on Broadway, and as I was crossing the street, I hit a slick patch and nearly fell. I did my banking and decided to cancel physical therapy, run my errands and get home. I got a nice taxi driver who drove me to the post office and I mailed my letters and packages, came out of the post office and slid and fell into the snow. I got a taxi to the pharmacy and picked up my meds, caught a bus, stopped at the metro station at 72nd Street to refill my Metrocard, and took a taxi to Staples, where I nearly fell again, and we'll see if the ink cartridge is the problem with my printer's color. It was an easy walk home fem there.  The only uncleared sidewalk on Broadway? The Bank of America at 81st and Broadway. I hope someone falls and sues them.

I am all wet but I am home unbroken. I doubt I will be heading out again today.

Relax the rest of the day, Elmore, and stay on your feet!  (or off them in a comfy chair or something)

Monday morning greetings!  Thanks for the travel vibes - I'm ready to be home.  This trip has had its share of weirdness, between the weather crisis in Atlanta and the animal crisis here in Carrollton.

Dexter seemed to be resting comfortably in front of the TV when we got to Perry & Pam's for the Super Bowl pre-game.  Shortly after halftime, he became agitated and seemed to be having seizures of some sort.  Richard and I decided to get out of their way about the same time they decided to take Dex Back to the vet.  We all pulled out of the driveway at the same time and they zoomed past us as soon as we turned onto the divided highway.  No word this morning...

I am so sorry to read this.

MEGA VIBES FOR DEXTER!!!

It was the color ink cartridge, and the new color printings are quite lovely. Printer problem off my back.

Good!!!  I am extremely relieved you didn't break any bones.  I hope you aren't sore tomorrow.

Keith just asked me who was on the phone a little while ago.  My response was "I don't know, I thought you answered it".  LOL I guess it was a wrong number as they hung up after 1 ring.

I'm fine, thanks! If it had been a grisly fall, I would have posted all about it. I just slipped and fell in the snow and got all wet. No pains, no blood, no breaks.

Thank you, all. for the concern about my slipping and sliding in this morning's snow. You should all know me well enough after 10 years of griping, boasting, grieving, and laughing with all of you on this site that if I were in pain or really injured myself, I'd make a novel of it.

Oy!

DR Jennifer congratulations on your win.  The doughnut sounds intriguing.

This is the site: http://lechedesserts.ca/our-donoughts.html

They show pictures but don't say which doughnut is which. But they were all apparently delicious.
