I'm not a fan of doing sitz-probe's  with shows.  I find that the cast has no patience and forgets that this rehearsal is not always about them.  ESPECIALLY when there is dialogue in a song and I need them to "act" as they are delivering the dialogue so we can see if the underscore will time out.  Never fails, I'll tell an actor that they will have to have some sort of eye contact with me to get out of a vamp or something and they will seriously say "Oh, you want me to watch you?"   It's my least favorite rehearsal of the process and if I can avoid having one, I do.

Tonight, I have to get to go to a production of Hairspray at a local high school.  I know most of the kids, so I'm pretty much obligated to go, but I really don't want to.  I was suppose to play in the pit, but then I wasn't needed (because of students, of course, which is fine) but I'm pretty much over this show.  I hear it's pretty good, so that's a relief and I'm sure the students love what they are doing.  Just pretty much done with it!

There was mention of a new member whom I didn't welcome at the time.  So far he (?) hasn't joined us.  We used to have something at the top telling us when we had a new member.

I apologize for not remembering your name but whoever you are, please stop in and say hello. :)

After almost 6 weeks I finally swam laps at the pool today.  It felt really good to swim again and I had a good workout.

It's been a long long day, and I am home. The rehearsal was a lot of fun:  noon ro 2:00pm, orchestra; 3:00 to 8:00, cast.  Chrstian Borle will be wonderful, but I liked everyone. The band played well, although there are still a lot of clams in some of the parts because the copyist's work is so bad.

I got to have a nice visit with Judy Kaye, David Garrison, Lee Wilkoff, and Lewis Stadlen, old friends I'd not seen in far too long.

I've had some friend rice for dinner.  Also, DR Ginny sent me this photo of several members of our coven in the 1970s, and asked me to post this on HHW. With DR Ginny are our two friends Andrea and Becki. They still looks young. Why am I the only one aging?

My library has several books on my wish list available.  Since I already have two books to read I only downloaded on that has been on my list for a long time.

I had better go read.

We are back from a nice dinner with Perry and Pam.  They're a little distracted because one of their dogs, Dexter, is very sick in the hospital.  They were told he has about a 50/50 chance  :-\
