Back from a major shopping trip with my mother, during which I came closer to losing my temper with her than ever before.  The next time I have a trip planned, she won't know about it until right before we leave.

Calming vibes. Perhaps you need one of those hot stone massages Cillaliz wrote about the other day.

Sometimes, my parents don't remember from the beginning of a conversation to the end of a conversation.  We have the same conversation over and over and over.   Sometimes I want to scream.  Thankfully they don't usually remember that either.    The hot stone massage is good. Right now it wasn't enough to take the pain away, but it's better

Oh, good, maybe mine won't remember "Yes, Mo-ther, you will see me again before I leave for New York."

She remembered well enough that you are going to NY. Will you have to call her everyday while you are away?

Lots of wonderful nature pictures today! Some of which (DR Jane's) bring back fond memories.

Did you go to Union Creek?

Because of all our moves and Keith traveling so much I understand the fear of something happening and not having anyone to call for help.  We have each other here but otherwise are fairly isolated in that our closest friends are far away.  Still there are local people I could call if I really had to and they wouldn't hesitate to help.

Actually, DR Jane, Mom is still pretty sharp mentally.  A phone call from me every day isn't necessary and would probably make her suspicious.

Well, I'm off to the theater for the last weekend of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  I'm sure that it'll be a good ending to a good show.  I just found out that we're having the cast party on Saturday after the second show.  I don't know why I'm surprised at that...all the shows that I've done with Olympia Family Theater have their cast party after the second show on the last Saturday. ;D

Until later!

Funny it would make her suspicious.  That is good, she can call you if she needs help.

Today, after 10 weeks, I finally returned to the pool.  My shoulders have been unusually painful that I decided I must swim.  It took about half an hour before the pain was better.

Funny it would make her suspicious.  That is good, she can call you if she needs help.

She also has several "panic buttons" in her apartment that would summon immediate help.

Have a good evening DR George.

Thanks, Jane!  We're just about to open the house.  Since it's general admission, they don't have to allow for time for ushers to seat people at specific seats...they just open the doors and stand back. ;)

Emigrant Lake. But all of the photos remind me of southern Oregon.

TOD:

My mother's Black Forest Torte, which is three layers of white cake, cut in half. In between the bottom layers, who you put chopped up brandied cherries, then alternate with a whipped cream frosting all the way up. Then frost with more whipped cream frosting, cover the top with whole brandied cherries and put dark chocolate shavings on the outside.

My flourless chocolate cake, flavored with a touch of Kahlua especial, frangelico or chambord.

I have never had either of these  cakes  however I suspect  they may be my favorites

Do you find swimming helps your shoulders?  I find it hard to swim with a sore shoulder.

Speaking of shoulders, for some odd reason my left shoulder is bothering me today. It feels like i exercised it a lot. But the only thing i did was bike.
