From DR TCB:
Quote
Actually, no.  Although the company that rents wheelchairs and walkers for the cruise line called me this afternoon.  I had rented a rollator, but they called to see if I would accept a scooter for the same price.  Ah, Yeah!

I'm glad you are pleased with the rental.  I thought you would go with your own chair.  Where will you leave yours?

Great news Danise.

John, I haven't done jury duty for quite a while, but since 1986 I've done it 6 times total!

How have we made it all the way to Tuesday afternoon before I got around to wishing everybody a happy National Library Week?

My goodness gracious - I just got a look at the cover for the new Cinderella cast album.  It looks just like the cover of our Cinderella album we did back in the late 1990s - bigger shoe, but that's about it.

Perhaps I missed something.

Which CINDERELLA is this?

The Julie Andrews?

I finally got my review copy of DJANGO UNCHAINED today.

The publicity firm sent it to the right STREET address, but the wrong city.

They sent it to NYC, and I live in Austin, TX.

DR John G, thank you for your feedback on the play.
I will admit prejudice. I am a big August Wilson fan. I've seen five plays in the cycle and read all of them. Poetical writing.

I know collected Disney/Wizard of Oz Sno Globes. Most of them have music.

Disney stopped making them because people couldn't take them on the plane with them due to the limit of how much liquid could be taken on the plane. Don't know why they would have them shipped home.

I recently heard they started to make them again and I bought a beautiful Peter Pan that has the ship light up, Peter files and plays music. A beautiful piece. I took the last box up and had it opened to make sure nothing was broken. Another person saw and wanted one and they had to call around the store to see if there was another one available.

In your Sno Globe, is the entire ship in the globe or is the globe resting on the ship?  I hope that question makes sense.

DR Jane (or anybody else), have you ever taken muscle relaxants before?

It gave me an upset stomach. Made me drowsy. And it also made my body feel numb.  I knew it would do this because it always does. But I wonder if this is a normal side effect or if it's just me.

I took 1/2 a pill. The normal dose it 2 pills for adults. I don't get why it does this. IT seems so odd to me. I still feel it more than 12 hours later.

I would be the wrong one to ask.  I take three a day, and it barely has any effect on my muscles.  Well, I guess it stops the charlie horses so I guess it does work.

Muscle relaxants turned my mom into soup. I don't think she ever took a second one.

It does to me.  You want to know if the ship is inside the globe....or if the ship is part of the globe's "base".

I'd have to gather some stuff together, and some is put away at present.  I'll see what I can do.

Imax to go into former Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood

http://goo.gl/s9Si4

"Imax plans to make the Chinese Theatre one of its main venues for holding premieres of big budget action movies."

"The Imax theater is expected to open by September and with new stadium seating, as well as a new Imax sound system and digital projector, which will later be replaced by a laser projector system that Imax is adding to its circuit."

Ta da!

DR JEANNE - Son of Fury might be Gene's first picture....she has a supporting role in it and doesn't show up until about 40 minutes in....but there's lots of other stuff happening to keep your attention until then including Tyrone Power and Frances Farmer and George Sanders.

Looking forward to it.

I took them once long ago and was a sobbing mess. I phoned a friend, who wisely asked, "Have you taken any medication?" Yes. "Stop taking it!!" I've never taken them since.

BTW, magnesium is an excellent muscle relaxer.

I haven't been able to keep as much as I'd like over the years, due to many moves and the high cost of real estate. I'm still miffed at my late cousin Marion for tossing many of the family photos. Some would have been worth some money; others had value only to me.

Excellent news, DR Danise!

I am home from a long day. I spent two hours with Rob Berman going through the ROBERTA materials and catching up on dish. Then I spent an hour talking about Jerome Moross with a British announcer calling from London. I don't think I made a total fool of myself/

Ron, I'm envious of your MGM lions! I'd never heard of them. I have a film strip of the lion roaring.

After my father died, I carefully went through the house. My parents tended to keep cash and valuables hidden around the house, so I felt compelled to go through EVERYTHING. In a drawer in the den I found the film strip, along with a few other items. It's strange that I'd never seen these things before. I'd been through those drawers many, many times. My parents didn't keep movie memorabilia. It's a mystery why they had it, but I'm glad to have it now.
