Oh my caught up on yesterday and must apologize for being so non-posting yesterday.

I had a very evil, very sanctimonious almost moustache-twirlingly disturbing email from the evil disturbing lawyer of the even more evil and disturbing Jonathan Frank, who disturbingly remains the beloved video person of long-standing at the otherwise very reputable and respected City center Encores group. My dealing with the matter in that email took up part of the afternoon, i then needed to write a bit, and we then went to have dinner and see an utterly spectacular show at 54 Below, the stunning cabaret space under Studio 54, which was an escape I needed. So the evening ended very well, having had a great time and enjoying a great show at 54 below.

But glad to see there was a posting rally here.

Last night was also the first time we've eaten dinner at 54 Below. The food is really very good, and you can use it toward your minimum, unlike many places which are drinks-only for that. nice deal.

Plus - I saw to my surprise for such an elegant place, it's "nice casual" in terms of attire, and people seemed more than perfectly at home in polo shirt and jeans even (mixing with the suits and ties nicely) and no one "called them pisher" (as my mom would say) for being dressed that way. That sounds like smart business, just encourages people to drop by after a show without worrying about being all dressed up.

I loathe The Office. I work in an office with a mix of smart and nice and stupid and smarmy people. Why would I want to come home and watch the same kind of s**t on television after living through it 5 days a week for the past 21.5 years.

Good morning, all!

I had a very restless night: I was wide awake around 3:30 while the Rodgers & Hart song "The Pipes of Pansy" ran over and over in my mind. I did dream that I was in London, working at some department store, closing up at midnight, and wandering off with some singers to a recording session.

On the recording front, there has been no word from four of the six baritones I contacted; they're are either working or avoiding me. I hope it's the first.

Today, I am back to Toyland. There's work to be done.

has passed away after complications from heart surgery.

Oy! (Apparently in solidarity with BK's stupid stupid day, I stupidly pulled a muscle in my stupid back yesterday evening, for the second time in this calendar year. So, I am walking around and sitting and lying down and getting up very very gingerly, as I needs must have this feeling a lot better by Monday which is another all-dayer at the high school.)

TOD - We'll be watching basketball tonight. Michigan and Michigan State both play, but not against each other - yet. That could happen on April 8, if they each advance to the championship final. If we want to watch a movie, I brought the LES MIZ DVD and Richard brought his laptop.
