Last night I went out and filled the car's  gas tank, bought ice melt and groceries

I am glad I did -  tonight on the way home every gas station  had lines stretching down the block  - it was like the aftermath of Sandy all over again -

all the closings our office had scheduled for late Friday  afternoon and evening were moved to earlier in the day

No gym for me tonight. I am gonna go home and collapse in front of the tv and watch some of the stuff accumulating on the DVR.

Aren't there better looking things to see at the gym?

Not nearly as often as you would think. :(

Hello.  Been E&T the last few days.  Things are fine.  Lots of things happening this week.  We had our meet and greet for Miss Saigon tonight, it was really fun.  Most of the cast was there, the creative team, the board of directors and even the office staff.  It was nice to have everyone in the same room for once.  Tomorrow is callbacks for the "coat" show.  7th attempt at ALW's show, and I'm excited to bring this score to 12-14 year olds.  Does anyone know Charles Strouse's Charlotte's Web?  It's quite an interesting score - sometimes challenging for kids, but we'll get through it.

This week has certainly turned up enough fodder for at least two chapters in the memoirs.

Good night

Cillaliz, here's an interview with Rupert Holmes that was on Playbill today:

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/174767-A-Conversation-With-Rupert-Holmes-The-Man-Behind-the-Music-and-Mystery-of-Edwin-Drood
Thanks John G. I hadn't seen that yet.  I actually met Rupert because I was one of the people who bought one of the 10,000 initial copies of Widescreen and I wrote him a fan letter.  He called me. At the time I thought it was because of my delightful letter, but I learned later it was because he couldn't figure out how a girl in a little town in Iowa got a copy of Widescreen.  Anyway, that was when we started writing,  later met him, not long after he had done his work on A Star is Born...and we became friends.  It's amazing to me that we are still good friends 36 years later, but we are and I am very thankful for that.
Wonderful story.

I enjoyed it, too!  I can only hope that SOMEDAY "Remember WENN" will be released on DVD and/or Blu-ray...officially.  I loved that show!

Tonight, I went to see the 1929 silent movie, "Pandora's Box," starring Louise Brooks.  It was shown at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts with live organ musical accompaniment by Dennis James.  It was great!

A co-worker left a ticket for me at my desk.  She wasn't feeling well and thought that I would like it...I did. :D
