Just watched "The Girl," the HBO movie about Tippi Hedren and Alfred Hitchcock.  Hitchcock doesn't come off too well, I must say.

Rob and Mary Linda arrived about 1pm.  We visited a bit, then Rob brought the extra tables and chairs from the basement that we need for Thanksgiving.  He also did some shoveling out in his old room and tried to put the new license plates on my car.  The front one is fine, but the old back plate's bolts are rusted and neither he nor Richard can get them off.  I'll have to go to the dealership tomorrow and hope I don't get pulled over for having different plates on the front and back.  We had Richard's belated birthday dinner - bacon-wrapped filets, baked potatoes, peas, peach pie.

I've been uploading season one's episodes to Broadway World and the major press release will hit tomorrow.  If you're a subscriber to our You Tube channel, I've gotten B'way World to implement the same function on their site - our own channel to which you can subscribe and get notification of updates and new episodes.  So, it will work exactly as You Tube works.

So, when will the NEW episodes (i.e. Season 2, Episode 2) start?

Episode two premieres a week from today - just as it always was scheduled to do - absolutely nothing is changing save for the destination the link I post will send you to.

Possible T.O.D. (Topic of Discussion, not Topic of the Day)

It is Thanksgiving Day, you are at some familiar place for dinner.  It can be  your childhood home, a relative's home, or maybe even your current home.  Wherever you are all the food sitting on the table is perfect (mom, for once, did not burn the mashed potatoes).  Suddenly time freezes for everyone in the house, but you.  You are now free to sit down and pig out on one item on the Thanksgiving table, with no guilt, no repercussions, and no calories.

What is the one dish you pig out on?

cauliflower casserole

you steams your cauliflower

you butter a pie plate

you put the steamed cauliflower in the casserole dish
'
you melt butter into the cauliflower'

you take  a quart of sour cream and mix in in with the cauliflower leaving alittle  to "ice" the top

sprinkle with seasoned breadcrumbs

dot with butter

bake in oven at 375 until  top is bubbly and brown

don't share

I took my Mom to Panera for lunch - they were advertising a "Big Kids" grilled cheese and tomato soup

They had photos everywhere of a thick cheese sandwich with  "thick cut apple wood smoked bacon" and a bowl of soup

The handed a me a tiny squished  sandwich with NO bacon and a cardboard cup of soup  -- I asked the sandwich maker  counter person  if this was correct - and asked for a bowl of soup like in the photo and she told me they were too busy!!

I did something I never do -  I walked back to the register where all the photos were and showed the woman my meal and the photo and said  " I am very unhappy - please look at this photo and the meal I have just been served and tell me if you see  ANY similarity"

She looked at the picture - looked at my tray - looked at my face and said - One moment Ma'am I will get the manager

OH I forgot to mention there was supposed to be a meld of several different types of cheese -  I clearly had  2 slices of American

The manager came out - looked at my plate and the picture  said ?"well the bread is wrong ..."

"Yes I asked for different  type of bread - but lets look inside the sandwich - NO bacon and clearly  no blend of cheeses....and lets look at the bowl of soup on the advertisement and the miniscucle PAPER cup of soup I was given ..."

"Ma'am, you are absolutely correct -  i am so sorry - please sit down and I will bring you the correct meal"

Which he did -  and it was delicious

I don't understand why I had to go through that  however -  I usually have a  very good experience at Panera

If those who pray wouldn't mind adding someone to their prayer lists: Please pray for Miss Mae-Belle, a wonderful gracious southern belle from my church, who suffered a major stroke and is in hospice care. Please pray for a peaceful passing. I will miss her so.

We had TAR here at 7pm since there is an awards show on at 8pm.

But unfortunately they aren't showing The Mentalist. They are switching it to their sister station, which we don't get here. So annoying. They constantly switch their shows back and forth between the two stations. That is annoying enough. But half the country doesn't even get the second station.

So i have to tape it on CBS from 10:30pm till 12:30am since there was football.

From by friend on behalf of her granddaughter.

Hi, Nikki wants to thank all of Jane's friends who sent postcards to her for her school project. she was the envy of the class for sure. She received a lot more than are in this picture, but Grandma didn't get there to take the picture before she turned some in. Thank you all again.
