Here's what we're thinking: If I decide yay we would make an immediate press release announcement, probably on Sunday night (Monday is their biggest traffic day) and they would immediately air all of season one and the first episode of season two.  We'd begin the exclusive with episode two.  I'm just not that interested in getting less than 800 views for this on You Tube.  It's pathetic.  Part of the problem is Facebook - any views by people who watch it there rather than clicking through don't count.  Then again, I really don't think that many on Facebook are watching.  I have close to 3000 "friends" and I'd guess maybe twenty of them have seen it.  That, too, is pathetic.  It's because many of the people there are so full of only themselves they never look at anything that doesn't involve them.  I could name any number of people I've given a HUGE amount of work to who never bother with my stuff, never "like" it, never comment.  Either our posts are falling off their news feeds too quickly or it's just not about them so why bother.  With Broadway World, you're starting with a LOT of traffic.  That's not to say we'll get all those people, but at least we'll have a real PRESENCE there every day, every week and we'll have to do better than we're doing on You Tube.  The most pathetic, unfunny tripe on You Tube sometimes gets hundreds of thousands of hits - it's an enigma.  Maybe I'm just too dumb to understand how it all works but B'way World isn't dumb in terms of promotion.  The ONLY way our video would have a commercial is if they find a sponsor who loves our show - and if that happens, there's actual money paid to us, so that's okay by me, and I think the commercials can be skipped if I'm remembering correctly - or maybe I'm thinking of somewhere else.  Anyway, I'm leaning towards saying yes tomorrow.

This sounds good to me

I can't even LOOK at these awful photos of me.  Except the one of me and Nick.  I must NEVER be photographed in profile, at least until thirty pounds is shed.

I thought you looked great.

Was LOST HORIZON ever shown on commercial television?  I don't recall ever seeing it televised.

How dumb do you think those network presidents are?

I love Capra's "Lost Horizon".   I, too, think a place of peace and harmony would be horrific longterm.  It's sort of like the vision of heaven I was raised to believe in...a place where I'd be on my knees worshipping God for eternity.  Nothing else.  Just that.

I've never been able to sort out why that would be "heaven".

That is an interesting view of heaven, DR Ron.  You aren't by any chance Southern Baptist?

Had a Cobb salad, and whilst at lunch I created all the patter for the show.  Then we came back and rehearsed straight through, I flipped two songs, and it's all going to work very well.  I also asked them to add one up-tempos song (Let It Snow) - not on the album, but the show really needs it.  Lanny already figured out the feel and we'll add it to the mix tomorrow night.

BK, I love me a good Cobb Salad, but every day?  Is this the new Cobb Diet?

I'm a poster child for not liking change.  I get that, big time.

But I don't think any real, concrete negatives have been posted here yet.  Are there any?

So here is the question me an answer of the day:  The telephonic meeting this morning was with the owner of Broadway World.  He contacted me and we discussed making Outside the Box a Broadway World exclusive, i.e. it would not be on You Tube, but exclusively available for viewing on B'way World.  They do one other web series that way and it's paid off for that show - they usually get about 25,000 viewers per episode.  So, I have to make this decision.  There are several factors at play: IF we were to do it, do we start in the middle of season two, or do we wait until season two is done and then they would promote and run the entirety of season one and two and then they'd have the exclusive on season three and onward.  The way it works is they promote us, we're on their home page permanently, we got lots of front page releases and we provide content and interviews for our down weeks so we're always doing something for the show.  Part of me likes You Tube and the fact that you can tag the videos in any number of interesting ways, but the fact is our most popular episode has under 8,000 , views, while all the others are under 3,000 so I'm not sure tagging or being on You Tube is meaningful at all.  I'd be able to link to B'way World from our channel page, so our channel subscribers would know where to go.

So, what do you think?  Do it?  Not do it?  Upsides?  Downsides?  Start in the middle of season two so we can actually get some viewers or wait until season three, which we would definitely have ready to go in April of 2013.

If you ask me, oh I guess you did, I would go with Broadway World. These episodes are classics, and they deserve to be seen by a wider audience.  Don't wait for Season Three, start as soon as possible.

Cilliliz, yes it is quite fun doing the searching, isn't it! Sometimes I get addicted, searching to find out whatever became of the most miniscule bit player in a movie or TV show. Sometimes I just have to know!

Yes, I really enjoy it.  It's a challenge to see what I can find.  When I have an expert in a trial I search the web for things they have written and said in the past on the subject.  When I have witnesses I'll see what i can find about them on the web.  It's amazing what people will say on Facebook or my space.  I do enjoy the search

Interesting reviews of the "Drood" revival. I have always loved the show, which I saw in previews, but there had been some critical backlash within the last few years. Glad these largely wonderful pieces have gone back to the opinion that the show is as much fun as ever.

I was very happy to read them.   I'm really pleased for Rupert.

Going by just my gut instinct, I think you're better off staying with YouTube.

People know YouTube.  They are not going to have to be directed to another site and deal with their promotions or whatever.

If you were being offered some $ or something beyond promotion, it might be worth considering, but based on what you've said the deal is, why give away exclusivity?

However, I guess I'm pretty much alone with this position.

I just looked at the Broadway World site.

Frankly, I think it's too "busy".  You could easily get lost.

I have always loved the Theme from LOST HORIZON.  In fact the opening credits were my favorite part of the whole movie.  I was horrified when I saw the film in a theater when it was first released.  In the last few years I have watched bits and pieces of the movie and the big musical numbers, mostly on YouTibe.  The person in the film I can't stand is the Michael York role.   Very annoying perfromance.  I would probably enjoy seeing the whole film in Blu-Ray.

I always wondered why Shawn Phillips was picked to sing the Main Theme.  Not that there is anything wrong with his singing voice, I just wondered, "Why him?"  I would think that James Shagita could have done a nice job.

My vote would be to make sure it's visible on BroadwayWorld.com, because I agree with the folks who cite the cluttered nature of the site. It's hard to find things there, but they do have their audience.

I'm listening to "Elf" right now. I'd put that in a similar category.
